Abstract

1,029,717. Tobacco smoke filters. PFIZER Ltd. March 26, 1965 [March 31, 1964], No. 13088/64. Heading A2C. A filter tip for a cigarette has incorporated therein from 5-40%, and preferably 10%, by weight of an edible organic acid. Preferred acids are aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acids such as citric, tartaric, malic, lactic, gluconic and ascorbic acids. Quantitative examples are given.
