Stoppers, spring.-In a closing-device or cover for a receptacle or container, a helical spring surrounds the cover and engages a groove in the receptacle, or vice versa. Fig. 4 shows a cover a with a circumferential groove a containing a helical spring b, which engages a groove c<1> on the inside of the receptacle c. As shown in Fig. 8, the helical spring b is mounted in a circumferential groove c<2> on the external surface of the receptacle c, and the cover a has a flange a<3>, which fits over the receptacle and is provided with a groove a' to receive the spring b when the cover is applied to the receptacle.
