Abstract

1,025,981. Valves. A. W. MILLARD, and DRALLIM INDUSTRIES Ltd. Jan. 14, 1965 [Feb. 5, 1964], No. 4952/64. Heading F2V. The valve of Specification 934,488 is modified by the use of valve members each of which is in the form of a sleeve 12 slidable longitudinally in a passageway and has ports 24 adjacent a closed end to provide a flow path when the sleeve is biased away from its seat. In the preferred embodiment, the valve connects, in each of two banks of pipes, a common inlet pipe 19 with one of three outlets 18 and has a manually rotatable spindle 11 with flats 16 to actuate the valve members and a valve position indicator 30. The inlet in each bank contains a dummy valve having radial ports of such an area that they communicate permanently with the valve chamber. Spring- loaded balls 34 co-operate with recesses 34 to locate the spindle in each of its positions. Six pipes, instead of four, may be provided in each bank.
