Abstract

1,024,131. Switchgear structures. A. REYROLLE & CO. Ltd. May 16, 1963 [Feb. 21, 1962], No. 6811/62. Heading H2B. In a multistorey switchgear building, each storey houses a three-phase switchgear set consisting of three single-phase circuit-breakers 14, each associated with a cable box 13, a cable isolator 15, a bus-bar selector switch 22 and a pair of phase bus-bars 10, 11 extending vertically through the building. Current transformers and cable earthing switches are also provided (Fig. 2, not shown). In a modified layout (Fig. 3, not shown), the building is hexagonal in plan with the circuit-breakers extending along three sides while the bus-bars are grouped near the centre. The circuit-breakers may be of the type described in Specification 979,783.
