Abstract

Heading B5A. In an injection moulding machine having a return flow stop in the form of an annular body 4 (Fig. 4) co-operating with the head 7<SP>1</SP> of a plasticizing screw 3, the head 7<SP>1</SP> of the screw 3 is movable axially relative to the screw itself against the action of a return spring 17. The loading of the spring 17 is adjustable according to the viscosity of the moulding material by means of lock-nuts 20 and a scale 22. The head 7<SP>1</SP> is provided with feed passages 5. The coil spring 17 may be replaced by Belleville washers. In another embodiment. (Fig. 6, not shown) the annular body and screw head 7<SP>11</SP> are combined as a unit.
