Abstract

1,021,870. Electromagnetic switches. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Dec. 2, 1964 [Dec. 5, 1963], No. 48083/63. Heading H2B. An electromagnetic relay incorporating magnetic reed contact devices surrounded by an operating coil has a partition, between the contact devices, which is made of locally magnetizable permanent magnet material magnetized with opposite poles on one side only thereof so as to influence the contact device on that side of the partition. The partition may be made of barium ferrite. The operating coil may assist or oppose the permanent magnet.
