Abstract

1,021,628. Spray carburetters. J. P. JACOBSON. Jan. 8, 1965 [Jan. 18, 1964], No. 2290/64. Heading F1B. A hub 42 rotatably supports a shaft 43 carrying a fuel impeller 52 and turbine blades 54 actuated by the air flow, the fuel from float chamber 14 being fed through shaft 43 into a drum 51 and impelled through orifices 53 in the drum. The hub 42 and drum 51 carry streamlining cones 56, 57, the drum 51 and turbine 54 being held by a nut on the shaft 43 which rotates in a ball bearing 44. The main fuel supply passage 28 is controlled by a needle 29 actuated by a suction operated diaphragm 32, a second passage 26 for starting being controlled by a manually operated valve 24.
