Abstract
102,081. Wolf, C. E. de, and Fry, H. E. Feb. 14, 1916. Germination, assisting; processes of treating seeds.-Seeds, before sowing, are steeped in natural mineral waters containing nitrogen, chlorine, and other gases and small quantities of metallic salts. When cereals are being treated, a current of electricity in the proportion of 3/4 ampere per 10 gallons of the water may be passed. After steeping, the seeds are sprinkled with petroleum or dried in a drying-machine or hot room.
