[Also in Division F2] A gas/liquid contact tray 1 has valve bodies such as 3 positioned above gas flow passages such as 2, each valve body having a guide member 4 with a slot 7, a rod 6 passing through the slots of a plurality of the guide members of adjacent valve bodies. In modifications the slot 7 may be arcuate and each valve body may cover or partly cover a number of gas flow passages. The bar 6 may be connected at one end to the valve body of one of the valve bodies coupled by the rod.
