1,222,012. Gas/liquid contact apparatus. AMERICAN AIR FILTER CO. Ltd. 16 Dec., 1968 [24 Jan., 1968], No. 59791/68. Heading B1R. [Also in Division F2] In a gas/liquid contact tray of the kind having a plurality of apertures each covered by a valve-disc arranged for movement away from and towards the tray in response to the pressure of upwardly flowing gas, the valvediscs are made from material cut-out of the tray when forming the apertures. As shown in 'Fig. 4 the valve-disc 16 has a series of tab-like projections 17. In use the projections 17 are turned out of register with the recesses 18. In a modification the tab-like projections are formed around the apertures and the recesses in the valve-discs.
