Abstract

[Also in Division A4] Nozzles for use submerged in a swimming pool (see Division A4) are rotated about a stationary shaft 124 by the non-radial reaction of jets issuing from orifices. 128. In one form, Figs. 2-4 (not shown), water flows in an S- shaped nozzle housing from an upright tubular stationary shaft mounted in the bottom of a swimming pool. The housing is supported on the end of the shaft by a stainless steel single ball thrust bearing and co-operates with two O-ring seals. As shown, water supply chamber 136 is closed by two rotary seals 148 and 149 and the water flows through holes 137 into the nozzle housing. Hole 151 prevents any buildup of water pressure in recess 141 should seal 149 leak.
