1,012,356. Endless conveyers. I. OTA. April 11, 1963, No. 14711/63. Heading B8A. A wheeled cart 10 is carried from a lower floor E to a higher floor F over, but clear of, a stairway on a pair of endless belts 1, the conveying stretch of which is supported on rollers h. Each belt 1 has an upper and lower orientated pile 2<SP>1</SP>, 2<SP>11</SP> of thermoplastic fibres which cooperate with similar fibres 9<SP>1</SP> attached to members 8 fixed to the cart 10. Drive wheels 3, 4 are so arranged that when wheel 3 is driven clockwise (Fig. 3) wheel 4 idles and the belts 1 are moved for ascending operation. When wheel 4 is driven clockwise wheel 3 idles and the belts 1 are moved for descending operation.
