Abstract
A mixture of liquids and solids (e.g. sewage waters or settling sludges) is supplied to a centrifugal strainer separator and the liquid therefrom is subjected to a natural gravitattional separation. A preferred range and upper limit of the centrifugal force, and a preferred upper limit of the solid content of the liquid discharged from the centrifuge, are specified.
