Abstract

The invention comprises (1) dyes of formula <FORM:1008844/C4-C5/1> wherein (a) R = Et, A = CH2CH2, R1 = H; (b R = Me, A = CH2CH2, R1 = H; (c) R = Et, A = CH2CH2, R1 = Me; (d) R = Et, A = CH2CH2CH2, R1 = H; (e) R = R1 = Et, A = CH2CH2, these compounds being made by reacting NH2(NO2)C6H3NHR1 with Cl-A-NR2 and (2) 1 - nitro - 3 - amino - 4(2 - diethylaminoethyl)aminobenzene, which is made by reducing 1,3 - dinitro - 4(2 - diethylaminoethyl)aminobenzene with sodium sulphide in aqueous ethanol.ALSO:The invention comprises (1) compounds of formula <FORM:1008844/C2/1> wherein (a) R=Et, A=CH2CH2, R1=H; (b) R=Me, A=CH2CH2, R1=H; (c) R=Et, A=CH2CH2, R1=Me; (d) R=Et, A=CH2CH2CH2, R1=H; (e) R=R1=Et, A=CH2CH2, these compounds being made by reacting NH2(NO2)C6H3NHR1 with Cl-A-NR2 and (2) 1 - nitro - 3 - amino - 4 - (2 - diethylaminoethyl) aminobenzene, which is made by reducing 1,3dinitro - 4 - (2 - diethylaminoethyl) aminobenzene with sodium sulphide in aqueous ethanol.ALSO:Animal fibres, especially human hair are dyed with an aqueous solution of (1) a compound of formula <FORM:1008844/D1-D2/1> wherein (a) R = Et, A = CH2CH2, R1 = H; (b) R = Me, A = CH2CH2, R1 = H; (c) R = Et, A = CH2CH2, R1 = Me; (d) R = Et, A = CH2CH2CH2, R1 = H; (e) R = R1 = Et, A = CH2CH2, or (2) 1-nitro-3-amino-4 (2-diethylaminoethyl) aminobenzene.
