Abstract

1,007,237. Traversers for mine cars. DEMAG. A.G. July 27, 1964, No. 29924/64. Heading B8E. A tub 9 is run on to a traverser 1 and a tub 10 is simultaneously run off by friction-wheel units 13, 14, 16, 17 which are operated by shifting- rotor brake motors. The completion of these movements is detected by photo-cell control units 18, 19 and when both of these have given appropriate signals the traverser belt moves to the right. The latter is also driven by a shifting-rotor brake motor which drives the belt slowly at the beginning and end of its traverse and quickly in the middle. A third tub 11 is present on the traverser between the tubs being run on and off.
