Abstract

1,006,707. Brackets. COOK & ELLING- TON. Ltd. Dec. 19, 1962 [Oct. 20, 1961], No. 37678/61. Heading A4B. [Also in Division H2] A rack for supporting cables, shelving &c. comprises an angle-section upright 10, having apertures 15 in the flange 14, and a supporting arm 11 having a hook 16 for detachable engagement in one of the apertures. The arm is bent up from a blank, the flange 17 abutting the flange 12 and end of the slot 19a remote from the hook 16 abutting the edge 20 of the flange 14, to lock the arm in position. The flange 12 may have apertures for screws securing the upright to a wall &c., and the lower end of the upright may have a spike for driving into the ground. In further modifications the flange 17 is upturned, as shown in Fig. 10 flanges 17 butt against the outer faces of flanges of a channel section upright, or, as shown in Fig. 13, the flanges 17 are dispensed with abutting edges 19a, 19b being provided.
