Classes 52(1) and 52(5) A shelf bracket 1 is provided with tongues 5 having upturned ends 6 and with top bent portions 7, the distance between the extremity of end 6 and portion 7 being less than the thickness of the end portion of shelf 9 which has grooves 10 or openings to receive the ends 6, the shelf being fitted by hooking it on to tongues 5 and then raising it to horizontal position. The tongues 5 and portions 7 may be replaced by continuous formations extending along the bracket. The shelf may be cut away at 11 to accommodate portions 7. In a modified form, a sheet metal shelf has an inturned end flange received on tongue 5, 6 and abutting portions 7. In a further modification, Fig. 4, the shelf is in the form of a wire trade (shown inverted), the edge wire 16 of 'which is bent downwards at the ends to lie at half the tray depth, these ends being received by tongues 6 and the wires 17 of the tray bottom abutting portions 7. The trays may be mounted right way up as well. The edge wires 17<SP>1</SP> of the bottom are thicker and the wires 17 are crossed over between wires 17<SP>1</SP> and 16 to give greater rigidity. Brackets. The brackets 1 are each provided with two hooks 4 selectively engageable in pairs of adjacent slots 3 in a pillar 2. To give an inclined shelf, an extension piece 20 is hooked on to the upper hook 4 and on to the higher slot in the pillar and a second slot 19 on the lower hook 4 is hooked into the lower slot in the pillar. Slot 19 is inclined relative to the other slot in lower hook 4.
