[Also in Division B3] A one piece hinged visor element 10 comprises a flange portion 12 with strengthening rib 14 and hinge portions 16, 18, 20 formed by slotting the element 10 at 22, 24 and rolling the resultant parts 16, 18, 20 into tubular form, adjacent hinge portions extending circumferentially in opposite directions so that frictional forces resisting rotational movement about the pivot rod 40 are bi-directional. The portions may have different areas of contact with the rod, so imposing a frictional bias in one direction of rotation.
