Abstract

1,034,972. Letter boxes. W. W. BALL & SONS Ltd. June 3, 1965 [July 15, 1964], No. 29125/64. Heading A4T. A letter box comprises first and second units 1, 2 respectively engaging the door front and rear surfaces, the units having skirt portions 13, 19 passing through the aperture and interlocking to hold the box fixed. Skirt 13 is provided with two pairs of zones forming teeth 15, 16 which engage teeth 17, 18 on skirt 19 as skirt 13 telescopes into skirt 19. The flap 9 pivots at 6 on lugs 5 on the unit 1. The base is made of metal or wood, but preferably of plastics material.
