Division B1] An air intake cleaner and silencer comprises a casing 1 with at least one inlet opening 11, from which leads an inlet conduit 14 formed by a channel-shaped member secured to the inner surface of the casing. As shown two inlet conduits 14, 15, formed by pressings 16, 17, welded to the casing, lead from inlets 11, 12, the lengths of the conduits being tuned to the desired frequencies. An elliptical paper filter 9 surrounds the outlet 4.
