Abstract
1,002,617. Securing lids to kegs or like. TODD BROS. (ST. HELENS & WIDNES) Ltd. Feb. 19, 1963 [April 11, 1962], No. 13905/62. Heading B8T. The lid 13 of a keg 10 or the like is secured in position by one or more lugs 15 bent over the keg rim on to the lid by a tool which can engage the lug. The lugs are welded around the upper end of the key and may be located against a bead 16. A bracket 17 is welded to the lug for engagement by the tool for bending the lug. The bracket may be replaced by a loop pierced and punched out of the lug itself.
