100,194. Royce, F. H., and Rolls-Royce, Ltd. Jan. 26, 1916. Valve-gear.-In engines having two inclined sets of cylinders, each set has an independent overhead cam shaft w and a separate magneto d. A transverse shaft c actuates the magnetos d and, through intermediate shafts (not shown), cam shafts w enclosed in casings 3. The intermediate shafts are made in two parts which are readily separated, and are enclosed in casings m, m<1> secured together by a union o and lock-nut o'.
