Granulating.-Gelatinizing substances are subdivided by introducing the warm aqueous solution into a cool liquid as described in the parent Specification, the liquid being, according to this invention, an oil such as machine oil having a viscosity of 6 at 50‹ C. A conveying-band or the like is used to raise the globules from the liquid. The adhering oil is washed away for instance with benzine, which is preferably recovered during drying. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes the liquid as any oil having a density of 0.8 to 1.2 or a mixture of an oil with one of the liquids mentioned in the parent Specification, the mixture having the same density. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
