1,000,392. Knitting. SDRUZENI PODNIKU TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI. Oct. 5, 1962 [Oct. 9, 1961], No. 37696/62. Heading D1K. A turned welt knitted on a circular knitting machine comprises an initial course a in which uniformly spaced selected needles receive yarn, a second course b in which all needles receive yarn a third course c in which some needles of those selected initially hold their loops and receive a tuck loop, a succession of courses in which all the needles except those selected in the third course knit and finally a course z in which all the needles knit to complete the turned welt. Just before the welt is completed further tuck loops may be received on the selected needles. A reinforcing thread 4 may be inserted in the first four courses and in the last course before completing the welt. As shown the welt is out-turned.
