Description
Compared with a ternary battery, a lithium iron phosphate battery has the advantages of higher safety and lower cost, and the advantages of good thermal stability, long service life, 'environmentally friendly and abundant raw material resources, and currently constitutes the cathode material with the greatest potential for a lithium-ion battery power supply, thus being favored by a greater number of automobile manufacturers, with a market share which is continually increasing.
However, a LiFePO4 material reduces an overall energy density of the battery due to a lower lithium deintercalation potential platform (around 3.4 V), thereby limiting its development in electric vehicles. . However, an operating voltage of LiMnPO4 for Li is 4.1 V, and if LiMnPO4 can acquire a specific capacity equivalent to that of LiFePO4, it means that the energy density will be 35% higher than that of LiFePO4. At the same time, low raw material cost and environmental friendliness are also the advantages of LiMnPO4. However, LiMnPO4 has very low conductivity, almost being an insulator, and the conductivity is only one thousandth of that of LiFePO4. At the same time, there may be a Jahn-Teller effect during a redox reaction, leading to low flow performance and low specific material discharge capacity.
It can be seen from current research situations that LiMnxFe(1-x)PO4 cathode material contains high energy density, which can make up for the deficiency of LiFePO4 cathode material in this regard, and at the same time improve the problems of low capacity specific flow rate and discharge of LiMnPO4 cathode material, thereby increasing the possibility of changing a phosphoric acid cathode material to a lithium-ion battery power supply material.
There are many processes for synthesizing lithium ferromanganese phosphate. At present, LiMnxFe(1-x)PO4 material is prepared by a single high-temperature solid-phase process. However, according to this method, it is difficult to precisely control a ratio of iron to manganese when preparing a precursor, and it is difficult for transition metals to be uniformly distributed in a main structure of the material, which which can result in a severe Jahn-Teller effect of Mn3+, thereby affecting the cycle and flow performance of the battery. The use of a co-precipitation reaction with a phosphate and a ferrous salt, a manganese salt and an oxidant presents the following problems: since an iron phosphate precipitate has a low pH value while manganese phosphate precipitate has a high pH value, the ferrous salt will react with the oxidant to obtain iron hydroxide at a higher pH value, resulting in high ferric hydroxide content, low purity of lithium ferromanganese phosphate and low phosphorus content.
Therefore, it is necessary to find a method for preparing lithium ferromanganese phosphate cathode material with high capacity and high cycle performance, which can not only make iron and manganese mixed uniformly at an atomic level, but also make a ratio of phosphorus to iron and manganese reach a theoretical value.

According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the present invention has at least the following beneficial effects.
2Mn(CH3COO)2+2PO4(CH3CH2)3+26O2→Mn2P2O7+20CO2+21H2O ;
Réaction hydrothermique :
H2O+2Li++Mn2P2O7→2LiMnPO4+2H+ ; et
Réaction de frittage :
C+Li2O+2FePO4→2LiFePO4+CO.1. According to the present invention, the manganese source, the iron source and the phosphorus source are dissolved in the organic solvent, so that the phosphorus, iron and manganese are mixed evenly, and then subjected to spray combustion to generate different iron manganese phosphates using the different stabilities of iron manganese phosphates, iron existing in the form of iron phosphate, and manganese stably existing in the form of manganese pyrophosphate, so obtaining a mixture of iron phosphate and manganese pyrophosphate, and the manganese pyrophosphate in the mixture is further subjected to a hydrothermal reaction under acidic conditions, such that the manganese pyrophosphate is further subjected to hydrothermal hydrolysis , and the manganese pyrophosphate in the precipitate is formed into lithium manganese phosphate in advance, then the carbon source is added, and after spray drying, the lithium ferromanganese phosphate is prepared by sintering. The reaction equation is as follows:
spray combustion reaction (taking for example ferric acetate, manganous acetate and triethyl phosphate):
Fe(CH3COO)3+PO4(CH3CH2)3+15O2→FePO4+12CO2+12H2O; And
2Mn(CH3COO)2+2PO4(CH3CH2)3+26O2→Mn2P2O7+20CO2+21H2O ;

H2O+2Li++Mn2P2O7→2LiMnPO4+2H+ ; And

Since the precipitation environments of iron phosphate and manganese phosphate are different, it is difficult to achieve co-precipitation. In the spray combustion method according to the present invention, firstly, the phosphorus source, the manganese source and the iron source are mixed and dissolved in the organic solvent to avoid the generation of phosphate precipitate. ferromanganese, and then the corresponding ferromanganese phosphate and manganese pyrophosphate are obtained by spray combustion reaction. On the one hand, the mixture of iron and manganese is more uniform, which is beneficial for the subsequent preparation of lithium ferromanganese phosphate to improve the specific capacity and cycle performance of the material. On the other hand, (Fe + Mn): P=1:1 is ensured, which ensures a sufficient phosphorus content for the following step of synthesis of lithium ferromanganese phosphate and avoids the problem of enrichment of the source of phosphorus.

The lithium ferromanganese phosphate obtained in the examples and comparative examples as cathode materials, acetylene black as a conductive agent and PVDF as an adhesive were mixed in a mass ratio of 8: 1:1, and added a certain amount of organic solvent NMP, and the mixture was stirred and then coated on an aluminum foil to prepare a positive plate. In this process, it was found that a suspension prepared from the lithium ferromanganese phosphate cathode materials obtained in the comparative examples was mainly jelly-like and difficult to apply as a coating. It was assumed that there was far too much residual lithium, so that it was difficult to further sinter the manganese pyrophosphate and lithium source to prepare the lithium ferromanganese phosphate cathode material. Residual lithium contents in the examples and comparative examples were detected. The results are shown in Table 1.
A 2023 button cell comprising the above positive electrode plate, a negative electrode made of a lithium metal plate, a diaphragm made of a Celgard2400 porous polypropylene membrane; an electrolyte including a solvent consisting of EC, DMC and EMC at a mass ratio of 1:1:1 and a solute of LiPF6 with a concentration of 1.0 mol/L was assembled in a glove box. A battery charge and discharge cycle performance was tested, and specific discharge capacities at 0.1 C and 1 C were tested within a cut-off voltage range of 2.2 V to 4.3 V The electrochemical performance test results were shown in Table 1.

It can be seen from Table 1 that the specific capacities of the comparative examples were all very low, because manganese pyrophosphate was not subjected to the hydrothermal reaction and was not successfully converted to lithium manganese phosphate by steam drying. spraying with lithium source, so qualified lithium ferromanganese phosphate could not be prepared.
