Abstract
FOR PREPARING A HIGH-PERFORMANCE HARD CARBON MATERIAL AND ITS USE The present application discloses a process for preparing a high-performance hard carbon material and its use. Starch, phosphate and water are mixed for impregnation, and the impregnated material is dried to obtain post-impregnated starch, and the post-impregnated starch is subjected to heat treatment under an inert atmosphere to obtaining starch-based carbon microspheres, and a mixed gas of carbon dioxide and an inert gas is introduced into the starch-based carbon microspheres for the carbonization reaction to obtain the carbon material hard. In the present application, starch and phosphate are mixed for a cross-linking reaction, and the material is N-doped by introducing an amino group, and subjected to a carbonization reaction after the starch and phosphate undergo a cross-linking reaction. crosslinking. The raw material is kept spherical round during the whole process, which can avoid the problem of direct carbonization to produce foamy lumpy carbon, thus avoiding the increase of SEI film and therefore the decrease of specific capacity and initial yield .
Description
Lithium-ion (LiB) batteries are widely used as rechargeable batteries for portable electronic devices and electric vehicles. However, the increasing scarcity and high price of lithium resources, as well as the hazardous nature of batteries made from lithium, have inhibited the use of LiBs in large-scale energy storage systems. Sodium and lithium belong to the same main group, have similar chemical properties, and have large reserves in nature and low prices. For these reasons, sodium is currently the most desirable element to replace lithium in rechargeable batteries for energy storage systems, and advanced electrode materials are essential for the development of sodium-ion batteries.
Many SiB positive electrode materials have been widely studied in recent years, including layered oxides, tunneling oxides, polyanionic sodium salts, and Prussian blue analogues. However, negative electrode materials for sodium-ion batteries are very limited due to the large ionic radius of sodium. Due to the large ionic radius of sodium, carbonate-based electrolytes in sodium-based negative electrodes cannot be used in graphite (d-layer spacing of 0.335 nm), which is widely used in LiBs. Other negative electrode materials have been widely studied, including non-graphitized hard carbon (HC), alloys, oxides, and organic compounds. Most of them undergo an enormous volume expansion upon insertion of sodium ions, resulting in an irreversible capacitance decay. Currently, HC materials with randomly oriented graphite-like layers are among the most promising SiB negative electrode materials due to their high reversible capacity close to 350 mAhg -1 , suitable average potential ~0, 15 V compared to Na/Na + and their excellent cycling stability.
However, the hard carbon negative electrode materials reported in the prior art still suffer from low initial efficiency, low capacity, poor multiplier performance and poor cycling stability, which seriously restrict the development and commercial application of sodium-ion batteries.
The objective of the present application is to resolve at least one of the technical problems of the prior art described above. To this end, the present application provides a method for preparing a high-performance hard carbon material and an application of the high-performance hard carbon material.
According to one aspect of the present application, a process for preparing a hard carbon material is proposed, comprising the following steps:
S1 : le mélange d’amidon, de phosphate et d’eau pour l’imprégnation, et le séchage du matériau imprégné pour obtenir de l’amidon post-imprégné ; où le phosphate est au moins l’un parmi le dihydrogénophosphate d’ammonium ou l’hydrogénophosphate de diammonium ;
S1: mixing starch, phosphate and water for impregnation, and drying the impregnated material to obtain post-impregnated starch; wherein the phosphate is at least one of ammonium dihydrogen phosphate or diammonium hydrogen phosphate;
S2: subjecting the post-impregnated starch to heat treatment under an inert atmosphere to obtain starch-based carbon microspheres; And

In certain embodiments of the present application, in step S1, the starch is chosen from one or more of corn starch, mung bean starch, potato starch, starch wheat starch, tapioca starch, lotus root starch, rice starch or sweet potato starch.
Dans certains modes de réalisation de la présente demande, à l’étape S1, l’amidon a une taille de particule allant de 2 µm à 80 µm.In certain embodiments of the present application, in step S1, the starch has a particle size ranging from 2 µm to 80 µm.
Dans certains modes de réalisation de la présente demande, à l’étape S1, un rapport massique de l’amidon sur le phosphate est de (2 à 20) : 1.In certain embodiments of the present application, in step S1, a mass ratio of starch to phosphate is (2 to 20): 1.
Dans certains modes de réalisation de la présente demande, à l’étape S1, l’imprégnation est réalisée pendant 6h à 24h.In certain embodiments of the present application, in step S1, the impregnation is carried out for 6 hours to 24 hours.
In certain embodiments of the present application, in step S1, the quantity of water is 2 times to 4 times the total mass of starch and phosphate.
In certain embodiments of the present application, in step S2, the heat treatment is carried out at a temperature ranging from 150°C to 240°C. Further, the temperature is raised to a target temperature of heat treatment at a heating rate ranging from 0.5°C/min to 15°C/min.
Dans certains modes de réalisation de la présente demande, à l’étape S2, le traitement thermique est réalisé pendant 4h à 16h.In certain embodiments of the present application, in step S2, the heat treatment is carried out for 4 hours to 16 hours.
In some embodiments of the present application, in step S3, the volume ratio of carbon dioxide and inert gas is 1: (4 to 30). Preferably, the volume ratio of carbon dioxide and inert gas is 1: (4 to 15). More preferably, the volume ratio of carbon dioxide and inert gas is 1:(8 to 12). An increase in the gas flow rate of carbon dioxide will result in a corresponding increase in the specific surface area of hard carbon. Appropriate specific surface area is advantageous for the adsorption and storage of sodium ions, which is beneficial for increasing the capacity and initial yield of hard carbon material, but excessive specific surface area will lead to an increase in film SEI , which will cause the specific capacity and initial efficiency to decrease, so the gas flow rate of carbon dioxide should be regulated within an appropriate range.
In some embodiments of the present application, in step S3, the carbon dioxide has a flow rate ranging from 5 mL/min to 20 mL/min. Preferably, the carbon dioxide flow rate is 5 mL/min to 10 mL/min.
Dans certains modes de réalisation de la présente demande, à l’étape S3, la réaction de carbonisation est réalisée à une température allant de 1100°C à 1500°C.In certain embodiments of the present application, in step S3, the carbonization reaction is carried out at a temperature ranging from 1100°C to 1500°C.
Dans certains modes de réalisation de la présente demande, à l’étape S3, la réaction de carbonisation est réalisée pendant 1h à 8h.In certain embodiments of the present application, in step S3, the carbonization reaction is carried out for 1 hour to 8 hours.
In some embodiments of the present application, in step S3, the carbonization reaction is as follows: arranging the starch-based carbon microspheres in a high temperature oven, introducing the inert gas for purging for 30 min to 120 min, then raising the temperature to a target carbonization temperature, and when the target carbonization temperature is reached, introducing the mixed gas to carry out the carbonization reaction. In addition, a flow rate of the inert gas purge is 50 mL/min to 150 mL/min. Further, the temperature is raised to a target carbonization temperature at a heating rate ranging from 0.5°C/min to 10°C/min.
Dans certains modes de réalisation de la présente demande, à l’étape S3, le matériau en carbone dur a une surface spécifique allant de 2 m²/g à 5 m²/g.In certain embodiments of the present application, in step S3, the hard carbon material has a specific surface area ranging from 2 m²/g to 5 m²/g.

In the present application, starch and phosphate are mixed for cross-linking reaction, mainly in the following way: under inert atmosphere and heat treatment at a certain temperature, the hydroxyl group in starch will react with hydrogen phosphate ions for dehydration, and the ammonium ions will react with the hydroxyl group on the starch molecule for the amination of hydroxyl, while in the heating process, some ammonium ions from ammonium dihydrogen phosphate or ammonium hydrogen phosphate diammonium will decompose to produce NH 3 , and NH 3 will react with the hydroxyl group in the starch molecule for dehydration, to produce -NH 2 , and the material is N doped by introducing amino groups, allowing two molecules starch or more to cross-link together and form a spatial network structure, making the molecular structure of starch more stable and avoiding direct pyrolysis of starch into small molecules, thereby reducing the carbon yield; at the same time, the starch and phosphate undergo cross-linking reaction before the carbonization reaction, and the raw material is kept spherical round during the whole process, thus avoiding direct carbonization to produce foamy lumpy carbon, thus avoiding the increase in film SEI and decrease in specific capacity and initial yield. In addition, nitrogen doping improves the electrical conductivity of the material and increases the active sites of the hard carbon material, thereby further improving the specific capacity, multiplier performance and service life of hard carbon in sodium batteries. ion.
The present application introduces CO 2 as a pore-forming agent to form pores on the material during the carbonization process, and the resulting nano-sized porous structure is conducive to the storage of sodium ions, thereby improving the reversible capacity of sodium-ion batteries .
The preparation method of the present application has few process steps, simple process, low energy consumption, high operation degree, low production cost, and is suitable for large-scale production.

A hard carbon negative electrode material for sodium-ion batteries was prepared according to the present comparative example, which differed from Example 3 in that the carbonization was carried out without the introduction of carbon dioxide. The process was as follows.
The impregnated starch obtained from step (1) was placed in a tube oven, under the protection of N 2 , heated to 210°C at a heating rate of 5°C/min, subjected to thermostatic heat treatment for 6 h, and cooled to room temperature to obtain starch-based carbon microspheres.
The starch-based carbon microspheres obtained in step (2) were placed in a high temperature oven, N 2 was introduced for purging, with the flow rate of N 2 being 100 mL /min, and after purging for 60 min, continuously heated to the target carbonization temperature of 1200°C at a heating rate of 5°C/min, and when the target carbonization temperature has been reached, subjected subjected to thermostatic heat treatment for 3 h at the target temperature, and cooled to room temperature, and then the hard carbon material was obtained.
As shown in Table 3, without the addition of phosphate to pre-crosslink the starch in Comparative Example 1 and Comparative Example 2, the prepared hard carbon products resulted in a significant increase in SEI film due to excessive specific surface area, which led to a reduction in specific capacity and initial yield. Without the addition of CO 2 to create pores in Comparative Example 3, the specific surface area of the material was too small, which was not conducive to the storage of sodium ions, so the specific capacity was lower.
