Description
The ditch cleaning processes require the evacuation of the earth extracted so that it does not redeposit at the place of cleaning. This evacuation is done either by throwing away the earth which is removed from the trench, or by collecting the earth at the exit of the ditch cleaner to be removed in a trailer:
- The limit of the process, which consists of forcibly throwing the earth away, is that the throwing is done on the side opposite the road so as not to damage the roadway for safety reasons; as a result, the surroundings of the surrounding properties are damaged by the deposit of agglomerate which is thus produced,
- The limit of the process for evacuating the earth in a dumpster towed by the vehicle is that it mobilizes significant resources to carry out the operation:
= Either in one case you need a digger that takes out the earth. The use of this type of machine poses a problem when it is necessary to remove very liquid mud because of the bucket which is not adapted for this task. In addition, the excavator creates a "punching", i.e. it produces irregular removal of soil, which causes water retention that is detrimental to the flow of water,
= Either the combined devices are very large with tractors whose power is at least 170 horsepower and cannot be used on small roads. Indeed, the machines used for the evacuation of earth are designed for high traffic roads. The cleaning devices adapted to this type of use use high power and project the soil removed with force onto a conveyor. In the case of small roads, or even for winding roads, the circulation of cumbersome machinery prevents precise work.
The subject of this patent relates to a device allowing the collection and routing of the earth ejected by the ditch cleaning tool, with a collection of the earth at the level of the tool of the ditch cleaner and an evacuation in a receiving trailer, all of which does not require the use of a vehicle greater than 100 horsepower. The vehicle (also called a tractor) must be used to operate the ditcher while ensuring the towing of the receiving bucket and the evacuated earth. The device must also allow the soil to flow into the bucket, while the collection of the soil must be carried out whatever the differences: natures of soil encountered (clayey, sandy, etc.), soil components in the ditch (mud , stones, etc.), and working speeds (tractor forward speed, tool rotation speed) .
State knowledge : The general principle of the clearing tool is based on a cutter technology which machines the earth and leaves behind the shape of the tool. In the rotational movement, the teeth of the cutter throw the earth to the side in a direction which is perpendicular to its axis of rotation. According to this general principle, we can dissociate two distinct technological families: the first concerns the devices for capturing the earth to be transported, the second concerns the methods of lifting (conveying) the earth so that it is conveyed into the transport bucket.
Enfin dans le cas de boue, le dispositif n’assure pas le maintien complet de celles-ci durant le trajet depuis l’extraction jusqu’à la benne.[0004] Concerning the processes for capturing the earth which is extracted from the ground, there are two known principles which are:
- Sweeping by brush which moves the volume of soil in a receptacle. We can cite the patent FR2758233, corresponding to a light device whose capacity only allows grass to be picked up on a flat surface. In addition, the receptacle must be closest to the brushing location to ensure continuity in the transfer of the grass into the receptacle. We can also cite the patent FR257378 which presents a device for bleeding transverse to the road with earth recovery brushes. The axis of rotation of the brushes is parallel to the axis of the cleaning tool and on the same horizontal plane. The disadvantage of this technology is that it is not adaptable to deep ditch cleaning, since in this case the axes (tools and brushes) cannot be on the same horizontal plane and gravity will prevent to simultaneously lift large masses (pebbles) and mud.
- The ejection of the earth by projection from the cleaning tool to the conveying device. We can cite the patent WO201620751 presented by the company F2M which is a ditch cleaning device with adjustment of the position relative to the edge of the road. This device is designed to project the earth which has just been extracted onto an output conveyor with a forceful projection of this extracted earth. The disadvantage of this technology is that it imposes heavy and cumbersome solutions, which makes it unsuitable for the maintenance of narrow and winding roads. Moreover, without taking into account that it is energy-intensive and can be handled, the technology has another disadvantage which is that it does not ensure the proper capture of the pebbles which can be ejected by rebound on the conveyor. Finally in the case of mud, the device does not ensure the complete maintenance of these during the journey from the extraction to the dumpster.
Un autre inconvénient est qu’ils laissent l’eau s’écouler et là encore la boue peut tomber sur la chaussée et présenter un risque vis-à-vis de l’utilisation.[0005] With regard to the lifting (conveying) of the earth into the dumpster, the existing devices which allow evacuation are of the continuous mechanical field (Archimedean screw, belt conveyors):
- The disadvantage of Archimedes' screws is that they do not make it possible to separate solids and liquids, which poses a problem in conditions of: rain, or when the ditches are waterlogged, and the mixture with the earth produces mud brought up with stones. Two cases may exist: the first case, when the screw is in a closed enclosure (sheath); there may be jams with the stones which block the movement of the Archimedean screw. The second case, when the screw is in the open air; there is then an overflow, which pollutes the roadway and can create risks for traffic. There may also be Archimedean screws with grids that allow the water to drain away, but in this case the liquid sludge would redeposit at the bottom of the trench, which is not desired,
- The disadvantage of belt conveyors is that they can let stones bounce during the transport of the earth in the bucket. Another disadvantage is that they allow water to run off and again the mud can fall on the road and present a risk with respect to use.
So that no known capture process is suitable for allowing their adaptation.
With respect to the constitution of soils, these vary from one place to another and the rheological properties also depend on various parameters such as the water content or even the presence of roots in the earth.
