L’invention concerne un procédé pour souder bord à bord un premier panneau (17) de tôle à un second panneau (19) de tôle sur une structure porteuse (10), ce procédé comprenant : – une étape de positionnement et fixation du premier panneau (17) à la structure porteuse (10) ; – une étape de positionnement et fixation du second panneau (19) à la structure porteuse (10) avec recouvrement par le second panneau (19) d’un bord brut (18) du premier panneau (17) ; – une étape de découpe conjointe du premier panneau (17) et du second panneau (19) dans la zone de chevauchement pour constituer un bord de raccordement du premier panneau (17) et un bord de raccordement du second panneau (19) ; – une étape de retrait d’une chute de découpe du premier panneau (17) et d’une chute de découpe du second panneau (19) ; – une étape de soudage par friction malaxage des bords de raccordement.
