Abstract

The invention relates to a device replacing the compressor block ("cold part") of a turbocharger ("turbo") of a vehicle powered by a gasoline or diesel engine to use its turbine block (1) ("hot part") as well as its central transmission unit (2) for generating electricity and charging batteries which can be easily removed and used outside the vehicle at home or in the office. It consists of a speed reducer (3) connected by a first mechanical coupling (4), instead of the compressor propeller, to the rotary shaft (5) integral with the propeller of the outgoing turbine the central block (2) of the turbo; an alternator (6) connected by a second mechanical coupling (7) to the speed reducer (3) and having various sensors (8) and four flexible cables (9) at the output, each provided with a plug at their end for connecting respectively: a battery charger (10), a tachometer (11), a multimeter (12) and possibly a solenoid valve (13) connected to the exhaust gas relief valve; a casing (14) replacing the initial one of the compressor, fixing the compound assembly to the central part of the turbo. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the automotive sector to allow everyone, individual or professional, when traveling in a vehicle powered by a gasoline or diesel engine, to generate and store electricity in batteries for the use at home or in the office.
