Abstract

L'invention concerne une méthode et un dispositif d'étalonnage d'un capteur d'oxygène (16) installé sur un moteur à combustion interne (10), ledit capteur d'oxygène (16) étant destiné à fournir un signal, facteur de la concentration en oxygène des gaz d'échappement et d'un coefficient de proportionnalité stocké, ladite méthode comprenant les étapes suivantes : a) on enregistre une valeur de signal fournie par ledit capteur d'oxygène (16) lorsque qu'il baigne dans un environnement d'une concentration en oxygène connue, pour pouvoir évaluer un coefficient de proportionnalité ; b) on compare le coefficient de proportionnalité évalué et ledit coefficient de proportionnalité stocké ; et, c) on substitue ledit coefficient de proportionnalité évalué audit coefficient de proportionnalité stocké si le coefficient de proportionnalité évalué est différent dudit coefficient de proportionnalité stocké. A l'étape a) on enregistre ladite valeur de signal représentative de la concentration en oxygène connue avant le démarrage dudit moteur à combustion interne (16).
