Description
The present invention relates to a device for trapping flying insects, in particular Lepidoptera.
Lepidopterans, especially of the boxworm species, are particularly invasive and destructive to crops. In order to combat these lepidopterans, a trapping device having a trapping receptacle is already known in the state of the art. The trapping receptacle includes a lower portion and an upper portion, removably attachable. The upper part has an upper wall provided with an extended opening by a flared member. This flared member extends towards the lower part from said opening to a lower orifice, the dimensions of which, in particular the diameter, are smaller than those of said opening. Such a trapping device comprises a flying insect attracting element for attracting insects towards the opening, so that they enter the receptacle. Once in the receptacle, the insects can hardly escape, because of the shape of the flared organ. For example, the trapping device comprises a dome arranged above the upper part, in particular opposite the opening. In this case, the attraction element is usually carried by this dome. The invention aims in particular to improve such a trapping device, optimizing the maintenance of insects inside the trapping receptacle. For this purpose, the subject of the invention is in particular a device for trapping flying insects, in particular lepidopteres, comprising a trapping receptacle, comprising a lower part and an upper part that can be removably assembled, the upper part comprising a first wall circumferential, extending in a direction of elevation between a first connecting edge with the lower portion, and an upper wall, said upper wall comprising an extended opening by a flared member extending to the lower portion from said opening up to to a lower orifice of dimensions smaller than those of said opening, characterized in that: - an annular space being defined between the first circumferential wall and the flared member, at least a first flying insect attraction element is arranged in this annular space; the trapping device comprises a dome arranged above the upper part, and connected to the upper wall of the upper part via at least one support arm; - the dome carries, opposite the opening, at least a second element of attraction of flying insects; and the lower part comprises a second circumferential wall, extending in the elevation direction between a second connecting edge with the upper part, and a bottom wall, said bottom wall having at least one evacuation orifice. of water. The attraction element housed in the annular space attracts the insects towards this annular space, thus away from the opening. This reduces the risk of insects coming out of the trapping receptacle through the opening. On the other hand, when rainwater enters the trapping receptacle, this rainwater is discharged through the discharge ports. This makes it possible to prevent insects caught in the trapping receptacle from decomposing in the water residing in this receptacle, which would have the effect of generating a repulsive odor for the other insects. A trapping device according to the invention may further comprise one or more of the following features, taken alone or in any technically feasible combination. Each attraction element comprises a pheromone diffuser, the pheromone being specific to a species of flying insect to be captured. - The pheromone is specific to Boxwood Moth. Each attraction element comprises at least one basket in which the pheromone is disposed. Each attraction element comprises at least one support for a rod impregnated with pheromone. The trapping device comprises an insecticide dispenser, housed in the trapping receptacle, for example in the lower part. - The upper part has a green color. - The lower part is transparent or translucent. The invention will be better understood on reading the description which follows, given solely by way of example and with reference to the appended figures, in which: FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a device for trapping according to a first exemplary embodiment of the invention, the various elements of which are represented by transparency; FIG. 2 is a sectional view in a median plane of the trapping device 35 of FIG. 1; FIG. 3 is a view similar to FIG. 2 of a trapping device according to a second exemplary embodiment of the invention. FIGS. 1 and 2 show a device 10 for trapping insects, according to a first exemplary embodiment of the invention. More particularly, the trapping device 10 is intended for the trapping of Lepidoptera, for example, the boxwood hopper. The trapping device 10 comprises a trapping receptacle 12, comprising a lower portion 14 and an upper portion 16 removably attachable. The upper portion 16 has a first circumferential wall 18, 10 extending in a direction of elevation between a first connecting edge 20 with the lower portion 14 and an upper wall 22. The upper wall 22 has a generally annular shape, delimiting at its center a central opening 24. The central opening 24 is extended by a flared member 26 extending towards the lower portion 14 from said opening 24 to a lower orifice 28, the dimensions of which are smaller than those of Usually, opening 24 and lower opening 28 each have a circular shape. In this case, the diameter of the lower orifice 28 is smaller than the diameter of the opening 24. Advantageously, the flared member 26 is integral with the upper wall 22. For example the upper part 16 is made of plastic , and carried out integrally by molding. Preferably, the upper portion 16 has a green color, allowing discrete integration into a crop plot. This green color also has the advantage of not attracting Diptera.
It should be noted that an annular space 30 is defined between the first circumferential wall 18 and the flared member 26. The trapping device 10 according to the invention comprises at least a first element 38 for attracting flying insects, arranged in this annular space 30. Thus, when insects are trapped in the trapping receptacle 12, they are attracted by the attraction element 38 in the annular space 30, thus away from the lower orifice 28, which reduces the risks for these insects to escape from the trapping receptacle 12. The lower part 14 has a second circumferential wall 32, extending in the direction of elevation Z between a second edge. 34 with the upper part 16, and a bottom wall 36.
Le diffuseur d'insecticide 40 est par exemple fixé à la paroi de fond 36.The lower portion 14 is advantageously made of transparent or translucent material, so that the insects, attracted by the light, abut against the second circumferential wall 32 rather than being attracted by the opening 24. The first 20 and second 34 connecting edges can be assembled in any conceivable way. For example, these first 20 and second 34 connecting edges have complementary forms of assembly, for example by screwing. Advantageously, the trapping device 10 comprises an insecticide dispenser 40, housed in the trapping receptacle 12, for example in the lower part 14. The insecticide dispenser 40 is for example fixed to the bottom wall 36.
En outre, la coupole 44 empêche les insectes de s'envoler à travers l'ouverture 24, si bien qu'ils retombent généralement dans le réceptacle 12.Advantageously, the bottom wall 36 has at least one water discharge orifice 42, allowing the evacuation of rainwater having possibly penetrated into the receptacle 12. Thus, the rainwater does not reside in the water. trapping receptacle 12, and it is then avoided that the insects caught in this trapping receptacle 12 decompose in water, which would have the effect of generating a repellent smell for other insects. Each water discharge orifice has for example a diameter of three millimeters. The trapping device 10 further comprises a dome 44, arranged above the upper part 16, and connected to the upper wall 22 via at least one support arm 46, for example three arms of support 46 equitably distributed circumferentially. The dome 44, arranged opposite the opening 24, conceals the light, so that the insects present in the receptacle 12 are not attracted by the opening 24. In addition, the dome 44 prevents insects from flying off. through the opening 24, so that they generally fall back into the receptacle 12.
The dome 44 carries, next to the opening 24, a second flying insect attracting element 48, turned towards this opening 24. Each of the first 38 and second 48 attraction elements comprises for example a pheromone diffuser , pheromone being specific to a species of flying insects to capture. For example, the pheromone is specific to Boxwood Moth.
In the example shown with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, each attraction element 38, 48 comprises a basket in which the pheromone is disposed. The operation of the trapping device 10 will be described below. The trapping device 10 is installed on a crop plot. For example, this trapping device 10 is arranged twenty centimeters above the crop, by means of a guardian or other means of suspension.
The trapping device is installed at the beginning of the cultivation, and is left in place until harvest. The attraction elements 38, 48 are reloaded when necessary, in particular according to the indications of the manufacturers, for example once a month.
For optimal trapping of flying insects, a plurality of trapping devices 10 are disposed on the plot. For example, in the open air, there is between one and ten trapping devices 10 per hectare. More particularly, there are between three and four trapping devices 10 on a parcel of area less than three hectares, and between one and two trapping devices 10 per hectare on a parcel of area greater than three hectares. For greater trapping in the open air, there are between eight and ten trapping devices 10 per hectare. On the other hand, for a greenhouse culture, for example, a trapping device 10 may be provided per three hundred to five hundred square meters. For greater entrapment, a minimum of two trapping devices per greenhouse is required. The pheromone-sensitive insects, passing close to a trapping device 10, are first attracted to the second attraction element 48, and then weave between the cup 44 and the upper wall 22.
These insects then fall through the opening 24 to the receptacle 12. The flared shape of the organ 26 makes it difficult for the insect to be extracted through the lower orifice 28. In addition, once trapped in the receptacle trapping 12, the insect is attracted by the first attracting element 38, which is arranged in the annular space 30. In other words, the insect is attracted to the annular space 30, so that the insect is thus kept away from the lower orifice 28. There is therefore little risk that the insect escapes through this lower orifice 28. The insect thus trapped in the receptacle 12 is exposed to the insecticide escaping from the diffuser 40, and thus eventually falling on the bottom wall 36.
It will be recalled that, due to the water discharge ports 42, the lower portion 14 is not filled with water in the event of rain, so that the insects do not decompose in the water. When the amount of insects in the receptacle 12 is too great, and / or when it is necessary to look for the attracting elements 38, 48 or the insecticide dispenser 40, the trapping receptacle 12 can be opened by separating the lower 14 and upper 16, for example by unscrewing.
10FIG. 3 shows a trapping device 10 according to a second exemplary embodiment of the invention. In this FIG. 3, elements similar to those of the preceding figures are designated by identical references. According to this second embodiment, the attraction elements 38, 48 each comprise a support for a rod 39, 49 soaked in pheromone. The operation of this trapping device 10 according to the second exemplary embodiment is identical to the previous one. Note that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above, but could have various complementary variants. 10
