Plus précisément, la présente invention concerne un dispositif d'application d'un produit capillaire fluide, comportant : un moyen d'application du produit cosmétique fluide, comprenant un récipient renfermant une quantité dudit produit cosmétique fluide ; et un organe de maintien apte à coopérer avec le moyen d'application pour, dans une position d'utilisation du dispositif, maintenir une mèche de cheveux en engagement avec le moyen d'application, de sorte à enduire ladite mèche avec ledit produit cosmétique fluide, l'organe de maintien étant relié au moyen d'application par un moyen de liaison. Le dispositif selon l'invention est particulièrement adapté à l'application d'un produit de coloration sur des mèches de cheveux. La coloration "en mèches" est un traitement où seules certaines parties de la chevelure sont imbibées de produit de coloration. Cependant, entre deux utilisations ou lors de la présentation du dispositif en magasin, l'organe de maintien adopte une position aléatoire par rapport au flacon, ce qui est peu pratique et inesthétique. De plus, lorsque l'utilisateur souhaite actionner l'embout applicateur sans l'organe de maintien, la manipulation du dispositif peut être gênée par ledit organe de maintien qui ballotte sur le côté. Un procédé d'utilisation du dispositif 10 va maintenant être décrit. L'élément de liaison 54 est alors dans une configuration déployée, représentée sur les figures 1 et 2, de sorte à maintenir une première distance 70 selon l'axe 14, entre la première charnière 56 et la portion d'appui 42. Afin d'utiliser le dispositif 10 pour enduire des mèches de cheveux du produit contenu dans le récipient 12, l'utilisateur désengage le crochet 50 de la gorge 32, écarte la pince 40 et dévisse le capot 26, découvrant l'embout applicateur 22. L'utilisateur dirige ensuite l'embout 22 vers le bas, afin que le produit cosmétique fluide 13 du récipient 12 imprègne ledit embout par gravité.
