Description
The present invention relates to the field of transport. More particularly, the invention relates to a belt guiding system. The minimization of costs and congestion is a recurring problem in the automotive field. For this purpose, the arrangement of the engine block, and especially of the distribution, is one of the important elements to be taken into account so as to save in terms of space, while not affecting the operating capacities of such bodies or systems. . To do this, it is known to implement such a system near the engine support. However, and also in a known manner, the motor support must not be integral with the distribution system so as to avoid the vibrations and noise rising due to the operation of the combustion engine and transmitted by the timing belt, so that not disturb the cabin. In other words, it is necessary not to transmit vibrations due to the gear slip of the toothed timing belt on the idler pulley. A disadvantage, or rather risk, of such a system, would be to raise vibrations and therefore noise in the vehicle through the engine pads and the solid contact between the elements. The invention particularly aims to solve at least in part the disadvantages of the prior art. In particular, an objective of at least one embodiment of the invention is to provide an installation 3024192 2 to optimize the size of the distribution system while not reducing the effectiveness of such a transmission of motion. Another object of at least one embodiment of the invention is to provide such elements which make it possible not to transmit vibrations and noises due to the operation of the motor for example. Yet another object of at least one embodiment of the invention is to provide such elements which are simple to use and inexpensive to implement. These objectives, as well as others which will appear thereafter, are achieved by means of a guide pulley movable in rotation about an axis and comprising: an outer portion in the form of a pulley body having a substantially tubular profile and comprising an outer surface provided with a plurality of regularly arranged teeth; rotatable connecting means secured to said pulley body and for rotating said pulley body about the axis of rotation; a means for axially locking the pulley with respect to the axis of rotation. According to the invention, the locking means has damping properties for isolating the axis of rotation of vibrations transmitted from the pulley body. Thus, the invention proposes a new and inventive approach to solve at least some of the disadvantages of the prior art. In particular, the invention makes it possible to use a pulley from components which are simple to use and inexpensive. The invention makes it possible to implement a pulley 3024192 3 having clamping means on an axis, means which make it possible to limit the vibrations and the noise transmitted via the motor. In one embodiment of the invention, the rotational link means comprises a bearing. According to a variant of the invention, the rotary connection means is fixed to the pulley body by hooping. In one embodiment of the invention, said axial locking means comprises a support ring.
In this case, said support ring may be made of nylon. Thus, it allows to implement a support ring of inexpensive material and which is perfectly suited to perform a clamping with possible friction.
In a variant of the invention, the support ring being formed of several tubular sections juxtaposed. The invention also relates to a belt guide installation fixed to a motor support, said installation comprising: - a guide pulley according to one of the preceding claims; a fixing screw forming an axis of rotation for said guide pulley. According to at least one embodiment, said fixing screw 25 is adapted to secure said installation to a motor support. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising at least one belt guide installation according to one of the aforementioned embodiments.
Other features and advantages of the invention will appear more clearly on reading the following description of an embodiment, given as a simple illustrative and nonlimiting example, and the appended drawings, among which: Figure 1 is a sectional and perspective view of a pulley according to one embodiment of the invention; - Figure 2 is another perspective view of an installation according to one embodiment of the invention; and FIG. 3 is a perspective view of an installation attached to a motor support according to the embodiment of FIG. 2; Next, with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, an embodiment of the invention is presented. As illustrated in these figures, and more particularly in FIG. 1, the guide pulley 15 comprises: an outer portion in the form of a pulley body 1; rotatable connecting means secured in contact with the pulley body and for rotating the pulley body about the axis of rotation; and means for axially locking the pulley with respect to the axis of rotation. In this embodiment, the rotary connection means 2 comprises only one bearing. However, other embodiments could be provided in which the connecting means would comprise other elements. Similarly, in this embodiment, the axial locking means 3 comprises only a fixed support ring 30 secured to the axis of rotation. The pulley body, i.e. in other words the outer layer of the pulley, has a substantially tubular profile so as to encircle the bearing. It further comprises an outer surface provided with a plurality of teeth 10 regularly formed on the entire contour of this outer surface.
The intermediate portion, for its part, has a substantially tubular profile and is placed in contact with said pulley body 1. In this embodiment, it is placed in contact with the pulley body 1, or fixed to the pulley body 1, by frettage. Of course, other embodiments could be provided in which this intermediate portion would be attached differently to the pulley body 1. As for the inner portion, that is to say the support ring, it also has a profile. substantially tubular. This support ring 3 is able to provide a clamping of the guide pulley on an axis A of rotation, as illustrated in particular in Figure 2. In this example, the support ring is formed of several tubular sections juxtaposed. More particularly, in this embodiment, the support ring is formed of two tubular sections 30, 31. Moreover, this support ring 3 is made of nylon, which allows to implement a part having a resistance. sufficient for the forces that will be exerted on it, and to prevent the transmission of vibrations of the belt. Of course, one could implement a support ring made of another material, such as a non-metallic material. As seen in the various figures, the belt guide pulley forms part of a larger assembly, hereafter referred to as a guide installation. In addition to the guide pulley, the belt guide assembly comprises a rotational axis fixing screw A for said guide pulley. This fixing screw makes it possible to fix, or to secure, the guide installation of the belt to an engine support. This installation is particularly applicable for a timing belt. However, one could imagine embodiments in which such an installation could be used for guiding any belt. Such an installation thus makes it possible not to transmit vibration and therefore noise in the vehicle via the engine. In addition, such an installation makes it possible to generate a low cost of attachment to the motor support 5 as well as a relatively easy assembly process for the assembly.
