Abstract

Le domaine général de l'invention est celui des dispositifs de visualisation comportant une matrice à cristaux liquides active de type nématique twisté. La matrice comprend un ensemble de pixels, un ensemble de lignes et de colonnes et un dispositif électronique de commande. Chaque pixel est commandé par un transistor. La tension appliquée à chaque ligne de commande est soit une tension d'ouverture VG_on suffisante pour ouvrir les transistors, soit une tension de fermeture VG_off suffisante pour fermer les transistors. La tension appliquée GMA sur chaque colonne est fonction de la transmission optique prédéterminée du pixel. Le dispositif de visualisation comporte des moyens de détection du bon fonctionnement du dispositif électronique de commande. En cas de détection d'un mauvais fonctionnement, le dispositif de visualisation comporte des moyens de coupure agencés de façon à forcer à zéro les tensions de fermeture VG_off des lignes et les tensions GMA des colonnes, de façon que la transmission de tous les pixels du premier ensemble soit minimale.
