Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method of optimizing the consumption of the electrical energy delivered by the batteries of a hybrid vehicle, as well as to a hybrid vehicle setting up a hybrid vehicle. such an optimization method. Certain types of hybrid vehicles using a fuel as well as electrical energy, comprise an electric traction machine which delivers a torque on the drive wheels, from the energy stored in electric accumulators which can be made according to different types, called by the following batteries. These vehicles have more than one engine fueled by the fuel, generally comprising three modes of operation that depend in particular on the driver's demand, and the level of charge of the batteries. A first mode without emission of gaseous pollutants uses only electrical energy, a second mode uses only the heat engine, in particular when the batteries have a charge level that is too low, and a third mode uses both energy sources simultaneously, to optimize certain parameters such as consumption, autonomy or cost of operation. In addition, hybrid vehicles recover kinetic energy from these vehicles during braking, which is transformed into electric current stored in the batteries. Certain hybrid plug-in vehicles, called "plug-in hybrids", can be connected when they are parked at a terminal of an external electricity distribution network, to recharge the batteries. The cost of energy thus received by an external network, is generally very low compared to the cost of energy from the fuel consumed by the engine. We therefore seek for each path to use the maximum energy stored in the batteries that comes from the previous recharge, before the next recharge, to reduce fuel consumption. To optimize the electrical energy consumption of the batteries of a hybrid vehicle, a known control method, presented in particular by the document US-A1-2011 / 0166731, uses a button controlled by the driver to signal that he returns to the home with a charging station, to record information on this return route, such as the distance or the consumption of this trip, and to establish a statistical database. The method then uses this database to predict the consumptions of the following return paths, and thus to use more completely the energy stored in the batteries. However, a problem that arises is that the forecasts on the current journeys being based on past path analyzes, this method can not provide any help to optimize the use of the energy stored in the batteries, on a new journey that the vehicle has never made.
The present invention is intended to avoid these disadvantages of the prior art, by providing a simple method of optimizing the electrical energy stored in the batteries. It proposes for this purpose a method for optimizing the consumption of electrical energy contained in batteries, for a hybrid vehicle using a fuel and an electric power delivered by these rechargeable batteries by an external distribution network, the vehicle comprising means for measuring the charge level of the batteries, as well as a means for measuring the distance traveled, characterized in that it performs the following steps periodically, it evaluates a current average speed of the vehicle, it determines with this average speed the current type of rolling among a limited number of rolling type each having a speed range, it determines from statistics on these types of driving, an estimated distance for the total journey to be made between two refills by the network exterior, and it optimizes the electrical energy consumption of the batteries according to the level of charge of these batteries. es and the estimated distance, in order to make the most of the energy stored in the batteries during this journey. An advantage of the consumption optimization method according to the invention is that it allows without any prior knowledge of the course carried out, to establish a probability of distance from the most likely path to arrive with substantially empty batteries during the next refill, to minimize fuel consumption during this course. The method of optimizing consumption according to the invention may further include one or more of the following features, which may be combined with one another. Advantageously, the current average speed of the vehicle is a slippery average speed. Advantageously, the current sliding average speed is established over a length just traveled, which is constant.
Advantageously, the method for optimizing the electrical energy consumption of the batteries takes into account only the last type of rolling, to determine from statistics on this type of rolling, the estimated distance for the total journey to be made between two refills. .
The consumption optimization method can calculate from the charge level of the batteries, and from the estimated distance of the journey, a discharge slope which would give empty batteries at the end of a route according to this estimate, while maintaining the same type of driving. Advantageously, if the vehicle has already completed a distance since the last discharge which is greater than the new estimated distance, then the calculated discharge slope is as strong as possible to discharge the batteries as quickly as possible. In particular, the limited number of rolling type may comprise a city-type taxi for average speeds below a low threshold, a road-type taxi for average speeds between two intermediate thresholds, and a motorway-type taxi for average speeds above a high threshold. Advantageously, between two thresholds of two successive types of rolling, the estimated distances are a linear function connecting the two estimated distances of these two types of rolling. The subject of the invention is also a hybrid vehicle using a fuel as well as electrical energy delivered by rechargeable batteries by an external distribution network, and comprising a method for optimizing the consumption of electrical energy contained in these batteries, this method having any of the above features. The invention will be better understood and other features and advantages will appear more clearly on reading the following description, given by way of example and in a nonlimiting manner with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: FIG. 1 is a graph showing an example of estimated distances of travel between two refills, depending on the types of driving, for a method of optimizing the consumption according to the invention; FIG. 2 is a graph showing an example of instantaneous speed on a course; FIG. 3 is a graph showing an example of average speed on a course, and a determination of the estimated distance between two refills for this course, using the method of optimizing consumption; and FIG. 4 is a graph showing an example of variation of the charge level of the batteries as a function of the distance traveled, using the consumption optimization method. FIG. 1 shows for a hybrid vehicle, on the horizontal axis, an average speed Vm expressed in km / h during a course, and on the vertical axis a distance De expressed in km of this course made between two refills of batteries on an external network, which is estimated by a method of optimizing consumption, with statistics on previous trips made by this vehicle.
The average speed Vm taken over a period of time or a constant distance is classified into three types of haulage, which in this example are a city V-type haul with an average speed of less than 30km / h, a road-type R having a average speed between 50 and 70km / h, and a type A highway running with an average speed greater than 90km / h. For the city V-type taxi, the statistics made on the previous rollings have shown that the estimated total distance Between two refills is 5km, for the road-type taxi R the estimated distance De is 15km, and for the taxi the motorway type At the estimated distance De is 50km. For the average speeds Vm between the thresholds of 30 and 50km / h, or between the thresholds of 70 and 90km / h, the estimated distances Between two refills are a linear function connecting the two estimated distances preceding and following, in order to obtain continuity and avoid a brutal landing effect in the definition of these distances. FIG. 2 presents a record of the instantaneous taxiing speed Vi expressed in km / h, as a function of the time expressed in seconds, showing rapid variations that can abruptly pass from one type of taxi to another. To obtain a certain stability in the determination of the type of rolling, it is necessary to filter this instantaneous speed Vi.
Les écarts autour de ces niveaux sont dus aux fonctions linéaires reliant deux niveaux de distance De, afin d'éviter un effet de palier brutal dans la définition de ces distances.FIG. 3 presents a calculation by the optimization method, average running speeds Vm expressed in km / h, as a function of the time expressed in minutes, which is carried out taking at each instant the running average of the speeds established over a length constant just traveled, which is in this example of 400m. Slow variations in the average speed Vm are thus obtained, which pass infrequently from one type of running to another. The optimization method then determines, as a function of the average speed Vm of the vehicle, the type of rolling current among the three types of rolling V, R, A, comparing at each instant this average speed with the speed range characteristic of these types of driving. Then for each of these types of driving, he deduces the value of the estimated distance De between two refills by the statistics on the previous courses. It can be seen that each time the average speed Vm changes its characteristic speed range, the estimated distance between two refills also changes level to levels close to 5, 15 or 50 km / h. The deviations around these levels are due to the linear functions connecting two distance levels De, in order to avoid a brutal landing effect in the definition of these distances.
Advantageously, the optimization process is implemented by a computer supervising the operation of the engines, which receives information on the battery charge level, and the distance traveled, allowing him to know the speed of the vehicle. This implementation can be done with existing hardware, adding programs in the calculator, which is an economical way. FIG. 4 shows on the horizontal axis the distance D expressed in km of a journey that is made by the vehicle between two refills, and on the vertical axis the charge level of the batteries of the SOE vehicle, this distance and this level. charge being continuously monitored by the optimization method.
For a system that has no knowledge of the course to be performed, no particular strategy is possible to establish the discharge speed. There is then a risk that at the end of the course between two recharges there remains a significant energy in the battery, as presented at the distance D of 15km finishing this course, or that a large part of this course was completed with empty batteries. In both cases the fuel consumption has not been optimized. Curve 22 is a discharge curve as a function of vehicle progress, which is followed with the consumption optimization method. Starting from the distance 0 where the previous recharge of the batteries took place, for a first part of the journey comprising an average speed Vm corresponding to a taxi of the city V type, the method calculates from the charge level at that moment batteries , and the estimated total distance From the route for this type of driving in town which is 5km, a discharge slope P1 which would give empty batteries at the end of this estimated course while maintaining the same type of driving. For a second part of the route comprising an average speed Vm corresponding to a road-type taxi R, the method also calculates from the charge level at that moment of the batteries, and the estimated total distance De of the route for this type of vehicle. taxiing which is 15km, a discharge slope P2 which would give empty batteries at the end of this course estimated keeping the same type of driving, and always taking the distance 0 as the beginning of the course. For a third part of the course including a mean speed Vm again corresponding to a city V-type taxi, the method calculates from the charge level at this time of the batteries, and the estimated total distance of the course for this type of taxiing which is 5km, a discharge slope P3. As in this example the vehicle has already completed more than 5km, more than the average statistical duration of a route with a taxi V type, the optimization strategy believes that this course will soon end, and that it is worth better use the energy of the batteries as quickly as possible to arrive at the next recharge with empty batteries. The calculated discharge slope P3 is then as strong as possible to discharge the batteries as quickly as possible, which minimizes the fuel consumption. It will be possible in particular pure electric rolling, if the power deliverable by the electric machine responds to the driver's request. For a fourth part of the route comprising an average speed Vm corresponding to a run of the A-highway type, the method calculates from the charge level at that moment batteries, and the total estimated distance of the course for this type of taxiing. is 50km, a discharge slope P4 which would give empty batteries at the end of this course estimated keeping the same type of driving, and taking for the beginning of the course the distance 0.
For a fifth part of the route comprising an average speed Vm again corresponding to a road type R, the method calculates from the charge level at that moment batteries, and the estimated total distance of the course for this type of 15km run, a discharge slope P5 which would give empty batteries at the end of this estimated course keeping the same type of taxiing, and taking for the beginning of the course the distance 0. The slope P5 then joins on the horizontal axis slope P2, at distance D of 15km. According to this method, the optimization method takes into account each time only the last type of rolling V, R, A, to estimate the total distance of the journey being accomplished, from the starting point 0 characterized by the last recharge of the batteries.
On constate que pour un même type de roulage, les pentes de décharge peuvent varier car elles dépendent à chaque fois du niveau de charge des batteries SOE à ce moment, et de la distance parcourue précédemment, qui a pu être parcourue avec des types de roulage différents.5It is noted that for the same type of rolling, the discharge slopes can vary because they depend each time on the load level of the SOE batteries at this time, and the distance traveled previously, which could be traveled with types of taxiing différents.5
