Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a process for repackaging drugs, such as tablets and capsules, previously packaged in a wafer. The invention also relates to a printing medium specially designed for implementing the repackaging process. The field of the invention is that of the distribution of drugs in the health sector, more particularly in hospitals, hospitals, retirement homes or the like. The drugs are then stored in the original packaging of the laboratory, usually consisting of a plate, often called "blister". These pads consist in particular of a thermoformed sheet defining cells forming unitary accommodation for drugs. These cells are generally closed by perforable lids, consisting in particular of a tear sheet secured to the thermoformed sheet. To prepare for the distribution of drugs, health workers such as pharmacists or nurses now use two methods. When drug platelets have individual traceability for each unit unit of the wafer, the method implemented today is to cut the wafer of drugs to obtain unit doses. Individual traceability may include information such as color code, drug name, international nonproprietary name, form and dosage, lot number and expiry date, and even the name of the hospital. However, this method is not systematically used because there are also packages having a single identification, at the top or bottom of the wafer, and not on each of the single units of the wafer. Also, very often the health staff uses a second method which essentially consists of unpacking capsules by tearing the lids of the wafer to recondition them in the unitary cells, presenting a traceability on their back. This last method is not only a waste of time and costs money. This method has the risk that the drug laboratory can not be held responsible for this manipulation. Out of its original packaging, there is no guarantee that daylight, humidity or dust will alter the medication. The purpose of the present invention is to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks by proposing a drug reconditioning process which allows identification of each unit dose ensuring traceability, compliance, security, time saving and financial savings for the institutions. health. The invention relates first of all to a process for the reconditioning of medicaments such as tablets / capsules, previously packaged in a wafer, consisting in particular of a thermoformed sheet, having cells constituting unitary units for the medicaments, closed by perforable caps. . Said method being implemented by means of a complementary printing medium, consisting of a printable sheet and a protective sheet, superimposed, said printable sheet having a printing face and an adhesive face, said sheet of protection covering said adhesive face of the printable sheet, said method comprising the following steps: - a computer printing file is created comprising, for each unitary unit of the wafer, identification information 25 of the medicament contained in said unitary unit, - prints on the printable sheet of said print medium said identification information for each unitary unit of the wafer, according to a scale of printing corresponding to the format of the wafer, at least partially removing the protective sheet of said support of printed printing, - the said plate is positioned on the printable sheet in such a way that the information Printed identification ions corresponding to each unitary housing are positioned opposite the corresponding unitary housing and the wafer is glued on the adhesive side of the printable sheet, the printable sheet and the wafer are cut simultaneously, without altering the alveoli integrity, in order to obtain unit doses, separate and distinct, having on one of their faces said unit dose identification information.
Advantageously, according to the process according to the invention, the drug remains in the cell of the original packaging of the laboratory. According to optional characteristics taken alone or in combination: the perforable lids may be constituted by a tear-off sheet that is attached to said thermoformed sheet of the wafer, the tear-off sheet being adhered to the adhesive face of the printable sheet during the gluing step the method is implemented for a plurality of platelets, the platelet identification information being printed on an identical print medium during the printing step, the identification information comprises all or part of the drug name, international nonproprietary name, dosage form and dosage, lot number, expiry date of the drug, health center name and barcode, - the printable sheet of the print medium may be a leaf at least partially transparent allowing the operator to transparently view said identity information in the step of positioning the wafer on the printable sheet, the printable sheet may have a thickness of between 0.020 mm and 0.040 mm, the printable sheet may have a basis weight of between 20 g / m2 and 30 g. / m2. In order to prevent the printing medium, of small thickness, from wrapping around itself during the step of removing the protective sheet, said protective sheet may have a peripheral cut extending along and in the vicinity of the edges of said printing medium and in which process only the central portion of the protective sheet is removed, without removing the peripheral portion of the protective sheet. This peripheral portion of the protective sheet, always subject to the adhesive side of the printable sheet, advantageously makes it possible to give the printing medium sufficient rigidity to prevent its winding on itself, and thus easy handling during the gluing step. Also, the invention also relates to a printing medium, especially designed for the implementation of the method, consisting of a printable sheet and a protective sheet, superimposed, said protective sheet covering said adhesive face of the sheet printable sheet, said printable sheet being partially transparent. According to the invention, the protective sheet has a peripheral cut extending along and near the edges of the printing medium so that the central portion of the protective sheet can be removed without removing the peripheral portion of the protective sheet. the protection sheet. According to an optional feature of the printing medium, the printable sheet has a thickness of between 0.020 mm and 0.040 mm and a basis weight of between 20 g / m 2 and 30 g / m 2.
The invention will be better understood on reading the following description accompanied by the appended drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a view of a drug wafer; FIG. 2 is a view of the drug wafer according to the view; 1 is a view of the printing face of the printable sheet of the printing medium (front side); FIG. 4 is a view of the back side of the printing medium (FIG. 3 is a view of the printing medium according to section III-III as illustrated in FIG. 3; FIG. 5a is a detailed view of the printing medium as shown in FIG. the thickness of the printing medium as illustrated in FIG. 5; - FIGS. 6 to 9 show schematically different successive steps of the repackaging method according to the invention; FIG. 10 illustrates a unit dose obtained by the setting as part of the repackaging process. Also, the invention relates to a process for repackaging drugs such as tablets or capsules. These drugs are previously packaged in a wafer 2 having the cells constituting unitary units 4 for drugs closed by perforable lids. According to the example of the figures, the wafer is constituted in particular by a thermoformed sheet 3 defining said cells. The perforable lids may be constituted by a tear-off sheet 50 which is attached to the thermoformed sheet 3 of the wafer 2.
The method, according to the invention, uses a printing medium 6, complementary, consisting of a printable sheet 7 and a protective sheet 8, superimposed. As illustrated in the examples of FIGS. 3 to 5, the printable sheet 7 has a printing face 9 and an adhesive face 10, said protective sheet 8 covering said adhesive face 10 of the printable sheet 7. The invention comprises the following steps: - a printing computer file comprising, for each unitary housing 4 of the wafer 2, identification information 11 of the medicine 1 contained in said unitary housing 4, is printed on the printable sheet 7 of said printing medium 6, said identification information 11 for each unitary housing 4 of the wafer 2, according to a printing scale corresponding to the format of the wafer 2 (see FIG. 6), - the sheet is at least partly removed 8 of said printed print medium (see FIG. 7), the printable sheet 7 is positioned on the wafer 2 in such a way that the identification information 11 printed with corresponding to each unitary housing 4 are positioned vis-à-vis the corresponding unitary housing 4 and the adhesive face 10 of the printable sheet 7 is bonded to the wafer 2 (see FIG. 8), the printable sheet 7 is simultaneously cut out and the wafer 2, without altering the integrity of the cells (see FIG. 9) in order to obtain separate and distinct unit doses (FIG. 10) presenting on one of their faces said identification information 11 of the unit dose 12.
According to one embodiment illustrated in the figures, the perforable lids 5 consist of a tear-off sheet 50 of the wafer, fastened to the thermoformed sheet 3 of the wafer, said tear-off sheet 50 being adhered to the adhesive face of the sheet 7 during the implementation of the method.
The method according to the invention may optionally implement a website for finding the references of the drug boxes and to be able to view them on the screen to facilitate the creation of the computer file printing. In addition to the identifying information, the printing step may print on the printable sheet 7 the outline of the wafer (not shown) to facilitate the positioning of the wafer during the gluing step. Advantageously, the method can be implemented for a plurality of platelets, the identification information of the platelets (or even the edges of platelets) being printed on an identical printing medium. The identification information 11 may include all or some of the following elements (non-exhaustive list); name of the drug, International Nonproprietary Name (INN), the form and dosage of the drug, the lot number, the expiry date of the drug, the name of the health center, a barcode, ....
Advantageously, the printable sheet 7 of the print medium 10 may advantageously be at least partially transparent, making it easier to position the wafer 2 on the printable sheet 7 by ensuring, by transparency, the correct positioning of the unitary housings of the the wafer vis-à-vis the corresponding identification information. The inventor has thus selected a printing medium 6 which is particularly suitable for carrying out the process; the printable sheet has a thickness of between 0.020 mm and 0.040 mm, such as 0.030 mm and a basis weight of between 20 g / m 2 and 30 g / m 2, for example 25 g / m 2. This sheet has the particularity of being partially transparent and tearable / pierceable. The protective sheet may have a basis weight of 62 g / m 2 and a thickness of 0.057 g / m 2. Such a printing medium is marketed under the trademark FASSON BT S 2800 BG 40 BR from AVERY DENNISON. Equivalents exist in the UMP RAFLATAC and MACTAC Companies. However, this printing medium as marketed by these companies, due to the small thickness of the printable sheet (thickness of about 0.031 mm) has the drawback of winding on itself, because of the internal stresses in the printable sheet, when the protective sheet is completely removed. Advantageously, in order to overcome this annoyance, the inventor has provided a peripheral cut 13, particularly illustrated in FIG. 4, which extends along and near the edges 14, 15 of the printing medium 6.
This peripheral cut-out 13 advantageously makes it possible to be able to remove the central portion 81 of the protective sheet 8, without having to remove the peripheral portion 82 of the protective sheet 8. Once the central portion 81 of the protective sheet has been removed, the part 82 device of the protective sheet makes it possible to give the support sufficient rigidity avoiding winding on itself, and thus easy handling of the support.
Another advantage of the printable sheet 7 whose thickness is in particular between 0.020 mm and 0.040 mm and the grammage in particular between 20 g / m2 and 30 g / m2, is that it is an easily tearable sheet which, when affixed to the dose unit lids 12 as illustrated in FIG. 10, can be torn or pierced simultaneously with the lid 5 to access the drugs. Advantageously, the process according to the invention thus makes it possible to obtain unit doses 12, consisting of cells of the original packaging of the laboratory, and thus to obtain a traceability of these unit doses. This method avoids the use of pillboxes.
Naturally other embodiments could have been envisaged by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the invention defined by the claims below.
