Abstract
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a traffic belt, especially a running belt of a treadmill. STATE OF THE ART FIG. 1 shows a conventional treadmill 1 comprising a platform 11 and a circulation band 12 installed around the platform 11 so as to turn around it so that an athlete can run In FIG. 2, a generally circulating web 12 generally comprises a fabric layer 121 as the lower layer and a race layer 122 as the upper layer. The race layer 122 is generally made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and it covers the fabric layer 121 before setting the PVC; thus the PVC can impregnate into the pores of the fabric layer 121 to enhance the effect of combining the race layer 122 and the fabric layer 121 when the PVC is solidified. Since the race layer 122 covers the fabric layer 121, the unevenness of the fabric layer affects the flatness of the surface of the race layer 122. In addition, the PVC is a relatively hard material which creates conditions of use (jogging) not comfortable. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The present invention aims to overcome the disadvantages of known solutions and proposes to develop a flexible and smooth circulation strip. DESCRIPTION AND ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION For this purpose the invention relates to a circulation belt, in particular for a treadmill, characterized in that it comprises a matrix and a layer of foam, the foam layer being integrally combined with the matrix after application of the layer, its heating, and the formation of foam and compression of the solid material of the matrix. Thus the flatness of the matrix and the layer of foam combined, ensure excellent flatness of the band of circulation.
According to another characteristic, the matrix comprises an intermediate layer between the layer of fabric and the layer of foam. According to another feature, the intermediate layer is made of a material selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and an emulsified layer. On another characteristic, the solid material is chosen from the group comprising thermoplastic polyolefins (TPO), thermoplastic elastomer rubbers (TPE) and thermoplastic elastomers (TPV). Drawings: The present invention will hereinafter be described in more detail by examples of embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings in which: - Figure 1 is a perspective view of a known treadmill; - Figure 2 is a cross-sectional view of a known running belt of a treadmill, - Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view of a treadmill of a treadmill according to a first embodiment of the invention. - Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view of a treadmill of a treadmill according to a second embodiment of the invention. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION According to FIG. 3, a running belt of a treadmill corresponding to the first preferred embodiment of the invention consists of a matrix 2 as a lower layer and a foam layer 3 as the top layer. The matrix 2 is a layer of fabric 21 which can also be replaced by a nonwoven. The foam layer 3 is integrally combined with the matrix 2 by a solid foam formation process. The foam layer is a thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO), a rubber
According to the solid foam forming method, solid material in the form of particles is applied on a base (not shown in FIG. 3). Then we pull and spread the material to apply on the solid material. After heating, the solid material begins to melt and impregnates the fabric layer 21 of the matrix 2. After foam formation and compression, the foam layer 3 is integrally combined with the matrix 2. Figure 4 shows a second embodiment preferred embodiment of the invention. This second preferred embodiment is substantially the same as the first embodiment. It differs in that the die 2 has an intermediate layer 22 covering the fabric layer 21. The intermediate layer 22 is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or is an emulsified layer. In the same manner, the product or particulate solid is placed on a base (not shown in Figure 4), and then the solid product is spread and pulled to cover the base. After heating, foaming and pressing, the solid product and intermediate layer 22 are integrally combined with the foam layer 3. It should be noted that the intermediate layer 22 formed on the fabric layer 21 by a coating process intermediate layer 22 is not formed on the top layer and total flatness will not be affected. In addition, the foam layer 3 and the intermediate layer 22 are made of a thermoplastic material; the foam layer 3 and the intermediate layer 22 may be melted together to form a solid structure. According to the above description, the running belt of the treadmill according to the present invention offers the following advantages and effects: As the foam layer 3 is formed on the die 2 by a solid foam forming process, the Foam 3 can develop uniformly over the fabric layer 21 during the heating, foaming and compression process so as to improve the flatness of the matrix 2 and the foam layer 3 and thereby improve the comfort of use of the traffic band.5
