Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a rear cross member of a vehicle roof, particularly a motor vehicle.
More particularly, it relates to a roof rear crossmember comprising a first and a second longitudinal pavilion receiving surface. In the automotive field, the body of the vehicles conventionally comprises a front and rear roof cross member, extending transversely to the vehicle on either side of the roof, the primary function of which is to ensure the rigidity of the entire body. checkout. The front crossmember is generally at the intersection of the bay studs that frame and support the windshield and roof struts that extend longitudinally to the rear of the roof to the rear crossmember. The rear crossmember is at the intersection between the rear uprights that frame and support the rear window and the same roof struts. Thus, the rear roof cross member defines the rear portion of the roof of the rear window. For the same range of motor vehicles, it is customary to have several types of roof or roof, such as: - a tin roof; - A sunroof comprising an opening in a sheet metal roof associated with a movable wall closing said opening, said wall being made of sheet or glass; and a fixed glazed roof comprising a glazed surface fixed on all or part of the roof. For reasons including aesthetic, each type of flag has a particular curve corresponding to a particular inclination relative to the rear cross flag. Thus, each type of flag corresponds to a specific rear crosshead flag associated with the curve and inclination of the corresponding flag. Thus, for the same vehicle range, there is as much rear cross flag as there is flag specific curve. This diversity of sleepers represents a major economic disadvantage in the manufacture of the different vehicles of the same range, whether in terms of preparation tools for the production of rear crossbars flag, fees for referencing and logistics of different types of roof aft transom, or clutter of the assembly lines with as many storage areas as there are types of rear roof transom. The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a rear cross member of a vehicle, particularly a motor vehicle, which does not have the drawbacks mentioned above, which therefore represents an economic gain for motor vehicles being adapted to several types of pavilion and more particularly to several curves or roof slopes. For this purpose, the invention proposes a rear crossmember of a vehicle roof, comprising a first and a second longitudinal pavilion reception surface, remarkable in that the first reception surface comprises at least first and second zones of support at different heights for support means of said flag so that said cross is adapted to accommodate pavilions of curvature or inclination distinct. Thus, depending on the choice of the support zones (the first or the second support zones) for the flag support means, said flag is received on the first longitudinal surface at different heights corresponding to different inclinations of the flag.
With only the first and second support zones, the rear roof crossmember provides two possible inclinations for the roof. Of course, the rear roof crossmember may include other support areas at different heights to allow for further roof inclinations.
The bearing means may be of any type and include, but not limited to, bearing or wedging members in the form of pads, spheres, beads, in different materials such as, for example, a damping material, an elastically deformable material. adapted to absorb vibration, a material with sticky properties so that said support means also constitute bonding points of the flag. In one embodiment of the invention, the second longitudinal surface is positioned behind said cross member to receive a peripheral portion of the roof, and the first longitudinal surface is positioned in front of said cross member to receive an inner portion of the roof .
It is thus understood that the second longitudinal surface is located on the rear side of the vehicle, while the first longitudinal surface is located on the front side of the vehicle; the two longitudinal receiving surfaces extending of course transversely to the vehicle, along the rear window of the vehicle. Advantageously, the second longitudinal surface is designed to be integrally bonded to the roof, in particular by welding or gluing. Thus, the second longitudinal surface may be of the flat rabbet type welded along its entire length to the rear peripheral portion of the roof.
Preferably, the cross is obtained by stamping a metal sheet. In a particular embodiment, the first longitudinal surface has several recesses of the same depth, each recess constituting one of the first support zones.
These recesses may extend towards the pavilion (in other words, upwards), and constitute raised support zones for the flag support means, or extend in the opposite direction to said flag (ie downwardly). and to form lowered support areas for the flag support means.
Advantageously, the first longitudinal surface is formed of a substantially planar rabbet in which are formed said recesses, the flat portions of said rabbet adjacent said recesses each constituting one of the second support zones.
Still advantageously, the recesses are regularly distributed along the first longitudinal surface of the rear roof crossmember, and are all equally of the same dimensions. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising a roof rear cross member as described above.
According to one characteristic, the motor vehicle comprises a roof which is integrally connected to the second receiving surface of the cross member and which is supported on support means supported by the first or second support zones. of the first longitudinal surface.
Thus, if the support means are supported by the first support areas then the flag may have a given inclination, while if the support means are supported by the second support areas then the flag may have a different inclination. According to another characteristic, the support means consist of standardized wedging pads interposed between the roof and the support zones of the first longitudinal surface chosen according to the roof. Thus, for different types of flag, the rear cross flag and the support means remain the same, only the positioning of the support means in one or the other of the support zones varies to allow a separate inclination.
Advantageously, the wedge pads are arranged in the first support zones or in the second support zones. It is thus sufficient to have a machine that has, for a first type of roof, the wedging pads in the first support areas, then simply shift said machine so that they have, for a second type of roof, the wedging pads in the second support zones. Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention will appear on reading the detailed description below, of an example of non-limiting implementation, with reference to the appended figures in which: FIG. perspective of a rear crosshead flag according to the invention; FIG. 2a is a perspective view of a first type of roof supported by a rear roof crossmember according to the invention; - Figure 2b is a partial sectional view of the assembly illustrated in Figure 2a in a cross sectional plane to the rear cross flag; FIG. 3a is a perspective view of a second type of roof supported by a rear roof crossmember according to the invention; - Figure 3b is a partial sectional view of the assembly illustrated in Figure 3a in a cross sectional plane to the rear cross flag. The description of a rear cross member 1 flag according to the invention is made with reference to Figure 1. The notions of front, rear, up and down refer to the front, rear, top and bottom of the motor vehicle equipped with a cross member 1 according to the invention.
This crosspiece 1 is a flat piece of stamped sheet metal, extending longitudinally, symmetrical with respect to a transverse median plane, and having mainly three longitudinal surfaces: a first distal longitudinal surface extending over the entire length of the crossmember 1 along a front edge 13 of the cross member 1; a second longitudinal distal surface, parallel to the first longitudinal surface, extending along the entire length of the crossbar along a rear edge of the crossbar 1; a third central surface extending along the entire length of the crosspiece 1 between the first and second distal longitudinal surfaces, thereby forming an intermediate bonding surface of said first and second distal longitudinal surfaces. The first longitudinal surface 10 is formed of a substantially flat rabbet 11 in which are formed recesses or stampings 12 extending downwards, thus forming lowered areas relative to the rabbet 11. The recesses 12 are all of the same depth , and more generally of the same dimensions, and are evenly distributed all along the first longitudinal surface 10 and symmetrically with respect to the median plane of said cross-member 1. The bottom of the recesses 12 is solid, without any hole or orifice, and their number is five, although this number is not limiting. The second longitudinal surface 20 consists of a substantially planar rebate 21. The third longitudinal surface 30 is formed of a substantially flat rebate 31 lowered with respect to the first 10 and second distal longitudinal surfaces, ie below these two distal longitudinal surfaces 10, 20 which surround it. The third longitudinal surface 30 is substantially parallel to the two distal longitudinal surfaces 10, 20. Embossments 32 in which openings are provided are provided in the rabbet 31 of the third longitudinal surface 30 in particular to allow the passage of fasteners for various internal elements of the vehicle, such as for example a lining intended to internally cover the crossbar 1; the third longitudinal surface 30 thus forming an anchoring surface for these elements.
As illustrated in FIGS. 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b, the first and second distal longitudinal surfaces form reception surfaces of a roof 4, 5 so that the rear of the roof 4, 5 is supported at the The first and second distal longitudinal surfaces of the cross-member 1. In FIGS. 2a and 2b there is illustrated a first roof 4 of the sheet-metal roof type, while in FIGS. 3a and 3b a second roof 5 of the glazed roof type comprising comprising a fixed glass surface 55 on a front portion of the roof 5 attached to the rear to a sheet portion 56 intended to bear against the crossbar 1. More specifically, a rear peripheral portion 40, 50 4 of the flag bears directly on the second longitudinal surface 20, welding points 42, 52, schematically illustrated by crosses in Figures 2b and 3b, being provided for welding said rear peripheral portion 40, 50 to said second longitudinal surface 20 of the cross member 1. An inner portion 41, 51 of the flags 4 and 5 abuts on the first longitudinal surface 10, wedges 43, 53 being interposed between said inner portion 41, 51 of the pavilions 4 and 5 and said first longitudinal surface 10. In the case of the first flag 4, the wedges 43 are arranged in the recesses 12 of the first longitudinal surface 10; said wedging pads 43 being of vertical dimensions greater than the depth of the recesses 12 so that said wedging pads 43 protrude recesses 12 so that said flag 4 can bear against these wedging pads 43. In a particular embodiment, these studs 43 are substantially spherical studs of diameter for example between 10 and 12 mm, while the depth of the recesses is between 4 and 6 mm. In the case of the second flag 5, the wedges 53 are arranged on the rebate 11 of the first longitudinal surface 10, near the recesses 12 and all equidistant from the recess 12 nearest; said blocking pads 53 being the same as the blocking pads 43 used for the first flag 4. Thus, the blocking pads 53 used for the second flag 5 are raised relative to the blocking pads 43 used for the first flag 4, so that the second flag 5 is further away from the rabbet 11 of the cross member 1, at its inner portion 41, 51, than the first flag 4. Consequently, the second flag 5 has an inclination distinct from that of the first flag 4 relative to the crossbar 1, and more particularly the second flag 5 is more inclined towards the outside of the vehicle than the first flag 4; the cross member 1 according to the invention being the same in both cases. This staggering or difference in height between the two support zones of the wedge pads 43, 53, respectively the recesses 12 and the rabbet 11, thus makes it possible with the same crossmember 1 to have two distinct inclinations of the roof, and thus two distinct curves. flag for the same vehicle range. Of course the implementation example mentioned above is not limiting in nature and other details and improvements can be made to the cross member according to the invention without departing from the scope of the invention or other forms of support zones of the wedges can be realized.
