Abstract

The line (14) has a valve distributor (48) for controlling a circulation of an exhaust gas that is distributed towards a discharge conduit (44) in an exhaust heat recuperator configuration and is distributed towards a recycling conduit (40) in exhaust gas recirculation configuration. A heat exchanger surface in the recuperator configuration is higher than a heat exchanger surface in the recirculation configuration, where the surfaces are provided between the exhaust gas and a coolant of a coolant circuit (34) in a heat exchanger (32).
