The invention relates to motor vehicles, and more precisely to certain metallic or synthetic or glass elements which are secured to the bodywork of certain motor vehicles and which participate in the general external shape of the vehicle. these latter. As is known to one skilled in the art, in many vehicles 1 o automobile the fuel hatch (which allows access to the tank cap to supply the latter with fuel, or which provides direct access to the fuel tank. filling port because it is integral with the plug) is housed in an orifice which is defined in one of the rear wings, downstream of a door. The word downstream must be considered here with respect to the front of the motor vehicle. This hatch is often perceived as an unsightly body part that is detrimental to the style of the motor vehicle because of its high visibility. The object of the invention is to improve the situation, and in particular to make the hatch less visible. It proposes for this purpose a rear side panel, intended to be secured to a rear side portion of the bodywork of a motor vehicle in an upper portion at least partially at the side windows, and comprising a clean orifice, a on the other hand, to be placed facing a first end of a fuel supply pipe, a second end of which opens into a tank of the motor vehicle, and secondly, to house a hatch which controls the access at the first end. The rear side panel according to the invention may comprise other features that may be taken separately or in combination, and in particular: it may comprise articulation means allowing the door to be opened by pivoting and comprising a first end; secured to its inner face (facing the first end of the supply pipe) and a second end secured to the hatch; it may comprise a lower part in which the orifice (trap door) is defined and which is intended to be placed in a shaped part, defining a recess, of the bodywork of the motor vehicle; it may be made of a material that is at least semi-transparent or opaque; - it can constitute a side guard. The invention also proposes a motor vehicle provided with a rear side panel (for example a side panel) of the type shown above. Other features and advantages of the invention will be apparent from the following detailed description, and the accompanying drawings, in which: - Figure 1 schematically illustrates, in a perspective view, an example of a motor vehicle equipped with an embodiment of a rear side panel according to the invention, - Figure 2 illustrates schematically, in a front view, the example of the rear side panel of Figure 1, when the fuel door is closed, FIG. 3 schematically illustrates, in a front view, the example of the rear side panel of FIG. 1, when the fuel door is open, and FIG. 4 schematically illustrates, in a cross-sectional view according to FIG. IV-IV axis of Figure 2, the example of rear side panel of Figures 1 and 2, once secured to a portion of the body of the motor vehicle. The attached drawings may not only serve to complete the invention, but also contribute to its definition, if any. FIG. 1 shows schematically an example of a motor vehicle V. This is a break type car, by way of non-limiting example. This car V comprises rear side panels PL, also called side rear quarter panels, which are secured to the body CA on two rear side portions PA (opposite to the longitudinal axis of the car V) respectively interposed between its rear doors PT and its haft HA in an upper part located at least partially at the side windows. This attachment is for example on rabbets defined in the rear side portions PA of the body CA, by means of any technique known to those skilled in the art, and for example by gluing or welding. Among these two rear side panels PL, the one located on the 1 o side of the TA fuel door (here the right side) is arranged according to the invention, the other (here on the left) being of conventional type. As best illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 4, a rear side panel PL according to the invention comprises an orifice OT which is intended to be placed opposite a first end E1 of a pipe TC connected to the fuel tank. RC of the car V. More specifically, and as is best illustrated in Figure 4, the TC pipe comprises a first end El on which is screwed (or clipped) the fuel tank cap BR and which allows the fuel supply, and a second end E2 opposite to the first El and which opens into the tank RC. The orifice OT houses a hatch 20 TA which controls access to the plug BE and the first end (feed) E1. In another embodiment, the tank cap may be integral with the fuel hatch TA. In the nonlimiting example illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 3, the orifice OT and the hatch TA have a circular shape. But, they may have any other shape, including a substantially rectangular shape. Similarly, in the non-limiting example illustrated in Figures 1 to 3, the rear side panel PL has a substantially rectangular shape. But this is not obligatory. Indeed, the shape of the rear side panel PL 30 depends on the desired style effect, especially in the extension of the doors (here rear) PT. Moreover, in the nonlimiting example illustrated in FIG. 4, the orifice OT is defined in a lower part PI of the rear lateral panel PL, and the latter is mounted on a shaped part PC of the body CA which defines locally a recess RE. It will be noted that the first end E1 of the pipe TC is secured to the body CA (at the said recess RE).
It should also be noted that the rear side panel PL may not exactly follow the local profile of the AC body or structure (or body). It may indeed not come flush with the body CA (or the body), for example when a large recess exists. Alternatively, the rear side panel PL may be at least partially superimposed on the body 1 o CA. To allow the opening and closing of the hatch TA, it is secured to the hinge means MA, such as one or two hinges. These articulation means MA comprise, on the one hand, a first end which is secured to the internal face FI of the rear lateral panel PL, which is opposite to the outer face FE and thus oriented towards the first end (d '). El supply) when the hatch TA is closed, either to the body CA (here at the recess RE), and secondly, a second end which is secured to the hatch TA (for example at its inner side FI ).
By internal face (FI) is meant here a face which is oriented towards the passenger compartment of the car V, and by external face (FE) a face which is oriented towards the outside of the passenger compartment of the car V. Closed position of the hatch TA is illustrated in Figures 1, 2 and 4, while the open position of the hatch TA is illustrated in Figure 3.
It should be noted that in the case where the first end of the articulation means MA is secured to the inner face FI of the rear side panel PL, then these articulation means MA form part of the rear side panel PL. The rear side panel PL may for example be made of a synthetic material or glass. Furthermore, depending on the needs and / or according to the desired style effect, it can be partially transparent or semi-transparent, or opaque. Finally, the rear side panel PL having the particular objective of making the hatch TA as invisible as possible, it is preferable that said hatch TA is the same color as said rear side panel PL. This is advantageous, especially in terms of cost, because it allows to paint the hatch TA in a single color which is the one used for the rear side panel PL and not in all the colors that are provided for the car model V considered. But this is not obligatory. We can indeed consider that their colors differ to obtain a style effect. Note that in the non-limiting example shown in Figure 1 the colors of the rear side panel PL and the hatch TA differ so that we can distinguish them. The invention is not limited to the embodiments of the rear side panel (for example a side panel) and vehicle described above, only by way of example, but it encompasses all variants that may be considered by the man of the art in the context of the claims below.
