The invention firstly relates to a method of supplying a heat engine, said engine comprising a fuel supply line, an air supply line, and a device for generating gas, a process according to which a gas coming from the gas generating device is added in the air supply line, the gas generating device comprising substantially a bubbler, a reactor and a diffuser, and in which device: the bubbler is constituted substantially by a double walled heat exchanger, with two chambers, the first chamber being partially filled with water, having an external air inlet with a submerged pierced tube and a gas outlet, the second chamber being connected to a bypass of the cooling circuit of said engine, - the reactor is constituted substantially by a tubular heat exchanger in which two flows are against the current, one of the two flows being the flow of gas generated by the bubbler, the other of the two streams being that of the engine exhaust gas, the reactor having, in addition, a stainless steel reaction rod in contact with the gas flow generated by the bubbler, - the diffuser is provided for the diffusion of the gas having passed through the reactor, generated by the bubbler, into the air inlet duct of said engine, in which process said diffuser is housed in the air supply duct to create a Venturi effect in such a way as to get one. depression in the first chamber of the bubbler and in which the temperature of the water of said bubbler is raised to a temperature below the boiling temperature at the pressure Po in the first chamber, the relative pressure difference between the internal pressure Po in the first chamber and the external atmospheric pressure Patm giving rise to bubbles in the first chamber of said bubbler, escaping from said immersed pierced tube, the holes of said submerged tube being adjusted to obtain sound waves of a given frequency. The invention will also relate to the gas generating device as such. The invention will be better understood on reading the following description accompanied by the appended drawings, of which: FIG. 1 is a schematic view of the method of supplying an engine according to the invention, illustrating in particular the engine with its air supply line, its gas exhaust duct and the bypass of the cooling circuit, as well as the device for generating gas with the bubbler, the reactor and the diffuser; FIG. 2 is a view according to a Vertical section of the bubbler as shown in Figure 1, - Figure 3 is a view of a pierced tube of the bubbler as shown in Figure 2, - Figure 4 is a partial view of the reactor as illustrated 1 and in particular a view of the reaction rod in a cylindrical tube; FIG. 5 is a view of a double reactor; FIG. 6 is an exploded view of the reactor as illustrated in FIG. 5; Figures 7 and 8 are respectively two sectional views, two angles to 90, the diffuser according to the invention according to one embodiment. The invention relates to a method of supplying a heat engine 1, said engine 1 comprising a fuel supply line, an air inlet pipe 2 and a gas generating device 3. The driving of In particular, the air inlet is equipped with a filter 60.
According to the process according to the invention, is added in the air inlet pipe 2 a gas from the device 3 for generating gas. The device 3 for generating gas substantially comprises a bubbler 4, a reactor 10 and a diffuser 14. The bubbler 4 consists essentially of a double wall heat exchanger, with two chambers 5, 6. The first chamber 5 is partially filled with water, especially at 2/3 of its height. It has an outside air inlet with an immersed pierced tube 8 and a gas outlet 9. The second chamber 6 is connected to a bypass 7 of the cooling circuit of said engine.
The reactor 10 consists essentially of a tubular heat exchanger in which two flows are countercurrent, one 11 of the two flows is the flow of gas generated by the bubbler 4, the other 12 of the two streams being that of the gases engine exhaust 1. The reactor further has a reaction rod 13 of stainless steel in contact with the flow 11 of gas generated by the bubbler 4. The diffuser 14 is provided for the diffusion of the gas having passed through the reactor 10, generated by the bubbler 4, in the air inlet pipe 2 of said engine 1. According to the method, the diffuser 14 is housed in the air inlet pipe 2 in order to create a Venturi effect in such a way to obtain a depression in the first chamber 5 of the bubbler 4 and in which the temperature of the water of said bubbler 4 is raised to a temperature below the boiling temperature at the pressure Po in the first chamber 5. The desired temperature of water da ns the first chamber 5 may in particular be obtained by adjusting the flow rate of the water of the bypass 7 of the cooling circuit. The relative pressure difference between the internal pressure Po in the first chamber 5 of said bubbler and the external atmospheric pressure Patm gives rise to bubbles in the first chamber 5 of said bubbler, escaping from said submerged pierced tube. The holes of said submerged tube 8 are further adjusted to obtain sound waves of given frequency. The aim of the bubbler is the formation of a premix of an ionic gas by the phenomenon of sonoluminescence in which a sound wave of sufficient intensity makes a gaseous cavity, that is to say a bubble present, contract quickly. in a liquid. The pierced tube, with its holes, behaves like a flute. It will advantageously be sized to obtain sound waves whose frequency corresponds to a resonant frequency of the bubbles. In the same way, the dimensions of the first chamber, in particular its walls, can also be dimensioned in order to optimize the intensity of the desired resonance effect and thus the intensity of the sonoluminescence phenomenon obtained. According to a particular embodiment, the depression Patm-Po in the first chamber of said bubbler is in particular between 0.1 bar and 0.3 bar and in which the temperature of the water in the first chamber is raised to a temperature of between 45 C and 70 C. In other words, the depression in the first chamber 5 of said bubbler 4 is between 0.1 bar and 0.3 bar. This depression results from the pressure difference between the external atmospheric pressure Patm and the pressure Po internal to the first chamber 5 of the bubbler 4. The temperature of the water in said first chamber is between 45 ° C. and 70 ° C. In these conditions of operation, the inventor has measured in the gaseous part of the first chamber 5 an electric flux of the order of 1 mW. As a function of the depression in said bubbler, the temperature in the bubbler is modified by means of a needle valve so that the temperature of the water in the bubbler is at the boiling limit but never to its maximum. For example, for a depression of 0.3 bar, the temperature is set at about 69 C, for 0.2 bar at about 60 C and for about 0.1 bar at 45 C. The bubbler 4 is filled to 2/3 of its capacity. The last one third of the gas is needed to allow the reaction and to prevent the water from rupturing in the engine. It should be noted that the water in the first chamber of the bubbler also combines a filter function for the air supplied by the pierced tube 8. From time to time, the first chamber 5 of the bubbler will have to be drained in order to be cleansed of impurities that will accumulate there. For a generator, for example, the bubbler consume 0.8 to 1.5 liters of water / hour to reduce the fuel consumption of the group by 25%. From time to time, it is thus also necessary to fill the first chamber 5 of the bubbler 2/3, especially when the engine is stopped. Advantageously, the first chamber 5 of the bubbler may be equipped with a grid 15 on its upper part to break any waves in the first chamber 5 of said bubbler 4, especially during roll / pitch movements. In addition, for large size bubblers, and to thwart roll and wave formation, the first chamber can be equipped with low sides.
As illustrated in Figure 1 or in Figure 16, the bubbler 4 may be equipped with a baffle 16 for collecting any microdroplets. The baffle 16 allows the droplets to condense and descend by gravity in the first chamber of said bubbler. As illustrated in Figure 2 in particular, the baffle 16 is constituted by a metal conduit inside which inclined fins hinder the path of the gas. The microdroplets contained in the gas accumulate on the fins and then fall by gravity into the bubbler. FIG. 2 illustrates, in a vertical section passing through a plane of symmetry of said bubbler, an example of a bubbler according to the invention. The non-illustrated part of the bubbler is thus identical to that visible in the figure, symmetrical. According to this example, the bubbler has a first chamber 5 for water. This first chamber 5 is equipped with two drilled tubes 8, in particular of L-shaped coated. Each of the tubes has a plurality of regularly spaced slots. The longer, pierced tube length passes through the wall of the first chamber on a lower part of said chamber 5. The smaller tube portion projects upwardly out of said first chamber , vertically, especially above the level of the water in the first chamber.
The first chamber 5 is substantially parallelepipedal, the second chamber 6 having three common walls with the first chamber 5. These common walls correspond to the side and bottom walls of the first chamber 5. The second chamber 6 thus has a section, along the axis The first chamber 6 is supplied with water from the cooling circuit of the engine 7 by two connections 31, in particular on the upper part of the bubbler, and only one of which is illustrated in FIG. 2 (the other is symmetrical). ). The first chamber 6 also has, on its lower part, an opening 32 for emptying. The first chamber 5 also has an opening 33 for emptying. Optionally, a conduit 30 passes through the second chamber 6 and will heat, in cold weather, the feed fuel prior to injection. It is particularly intended for heating, in a known manner, oils, especially vegetable oils, used as fuel, in order to thin them. As previously explained, the reactor 10 consists essentially of a countercurrent heat exchanger. This reactor 10 comprises, as illustrated according to the example of Figure 4, a cylindrical tube of stainless steel 17 inside which is housed said reaction rod 13. The reaction rod is in particular positioned in the tube of 17 stainless steel by means of centering triangles 18. The triangles are in particular fixed to the tube 17 by needle. The inside diameter of the cylindrical tube 17 and the outside diameter of the reaction rod 13 are sized so as to leave a passage for the flow 11 of gas generated by the bubbler. According to an exemplary embodiment, this passage is about 1 mm thick on the periphery of the reaction rod 13. As illustrated in Figure 5, this cylindrical tube 17 with its reaction rod 13 is housed in a metal tubular profile 19, in particular of square section. The inner wall of the metal tubular section 19 and the outer wall of the steel tube 17 leave a passage for the flow 12 of the exhaust gas of said engine 1. As illustrated in the example of FIGS. 5 and 6, the reactor has two steel tubes 17, in parallel, each steel tube 17 being extended by two elbows 20, the two tubes 17 emerging on the same side of the metal section 19. The reactor is then provided with two gas collectors 21 These two gas manifolds 21 are in particular constituted by bodies of revolution having a through bore. The body of revolution of the manifold has a threaded end 40, fitting and a portion of larger diameter having an upper edge 42 and an internal recess funnel. The upper edge 42, circular, will in particular be welded to the outer wall of the metal section 19, facing the two mouths respectively belonging to the two steel tubes 17 in parallel. Each collector 41 thus communicates simultaneously with the two tubes 17, in parallel, at two of their ends. According to a particular mode of reaction, the cylindrical stainless steel tube 17 consists of a stainless steel 316 L AISI tube with an outside diameter of 21.3 mm, a thickness of 1.6 mm, and a inner diameter of 18.7 mm, length 130 mm. The reaction rod consists of a stainless steel 310 to 26% nickel, 90 mm long. Its diameter is 16 mm leaving a space of 1.05 mm around its periphery. In this example, the gas emitted by the bubbler circulates very rapidly in the reactor 10 because of the Venturi effect obtained by the design of said reactor. The reactors, fixed in the exhaust pipes of the engine are heated from 125 C to 350 C according to their situation. The circulation of the first stream 11 of gas issuing from the bubbler 4 and the circulation of the second stream 12 of exhaust gas, in the opposite direction, makes it possible to obtain a polarization of the reactor 10. When approaching a magnet at the ends of the reaction rod 13, one of the ends strongly attracts the magnet, the other end repelling it. Reaction rods 13 may be two in engines from 6 liters to 12 liters of displacement and four in motors 14 to 20 liters of displacement. For 1.3 liter to 4 liter engines, only one reaction rod 13 may be used. In this regard, it should be noted that these are examples of engine displacement, but in no case the present invention is limited to such displacements. The reactor 10 may be assembled in the exhaust pipe by welding, in particular mig. The diffuser 14, as illustrated in particular in Figures 7 and 8 is a wall pass whose tubing is cut in half over a segment length I. Advantageously, the back of the cutout will be intended to face the arrival of the air flow 50 in the air supply pipe 2 of the engine so as to obtain the desired Venturi effect.
Of course, other modes of implementation, within the reach of those skilled in the art, could have been envisaged without departing from the scope of the invention defined by the claims below.
