Abstract

The shutter has a blade structure mounted on a support carrying a rolling axle (10). The support is implanted on an edge of a basin at a specific distance in order to provide a circulation space between the edge of the basin and a roller (1) formed by the shutter at a rolled state. Slides (4) are positioned in the space for transferring the shutter during its unrolling in order to drive the shutter towards the interior of the basin. A fixed and continuous obstacle is placed behind the slides.

Description

VOLET FLOTTANT à LAMES POUR PISCINEFLOATING FLOATING COMPONENT FOR SWIMMING POOL

Domaine technique de l'invention.Technical Field of the Invention

This patent relates to so-called above ground shutters, which wind on an axis placed on one of the small sides of the pool, outside the basin.

Etat de la technique.State of the art

According to current practice, the winding axis is placed very close to the edge of the pool, so that during unwinding, the shutter blades naturally descend to meet the surface of the water, and then continue to horizontal until full coverage of the basin. This very simple principle has two major drawbacks: - Unfavorable aesthetic impact, especially in the wound state, when the shutter is in the form of a roll of large diameter. - Impossibility to circulate at the edge of the pool, which is an inconvenience, both for the enjoyment of use and for cleaning the pool.

Object of the invention The present invention aims to eliminate the second drawback and to mitigate the first. It consists of: - To move transversely the winding axis, moving it away from the edge of the pool and putting it if necessary a little higher. - To complete the device by a set of slides arranged to take care of the shutter from the beginning of the course in order to drive it to the inside of the basin.

Description sommaire des dessins.Brief description of the drawings.

Other advantages and features will appear more clearly from the accompanying drawings given by way of non-limiting examples, and in which: - Figure 1 shows a conventional device of the prior art, in the wound state. - Figure 2 shows the same device of the prior art in the unwound state. - Figure 3 shows a device according to the invention in the wound state. - Figure 4 shows the same device in the unwound state. - Figure 5 shows a detail of a roller bearing capable of equipping an alternative embodiment of the invention. All these figures are sections through a vertical plane parallel to the longitudinal axis of the basin.

Description détaillée de l'invention. Detailed description of the invention. In Figure 1 showing the prior art, the roller 1 is at its maximum diameter, its axis being positioned so that the end 2 of the flap dives directly into the water when it begins the unwinding.

This positioning prohibits that one can circulate on the edge of the pool, which goes against the ease of use, as well as the ease of cleaning the pool.

In Figure 2, the roller 1 is at its minimum diameter. The flap 3 is then in place on the entire pool, and present with the edge of it a game has compatible with the requirements of security. This is actually the desired value for this game that conditions the implementation of the winding axis.

In Figure 3 of the present invention, we see that the winding axis 10 carried by a support has been moved outwardly of the basin and slightly shifted upwards. In the absence of other device, the end 2 of the flap would fall a little beyond the outer edge of the lip.

To drive the end of the flap to the basin, there is a set of guide elements 4 designated below slides. These slides are narrow, light, and in increasing numbers with the width of the pool (2, 3, 4, or more). At the beginning of unwinding, the end 2 of the shutter is guided towards the inside of the basin by the slides.

To obtain a good functioning, it is necessary: - That the slope of the slides is sufficient so that the blades of the shutter have a natural tendency to descend, by simple gravity. - That the material constituting the slide has with the flap a coefficient of friction as low as possible. Indeed, the lower it is, the less slope must be given to the slides, and the less you have to go up the winding axis. Alternatively, the slides may be provided with rollers, belts or similar devices making it possible to replace, in whole or in part, the friction by rolling. The new positioning of the roll releases a circulation zone of width b, corresponding for example to that of the lip, but can be significantly higher if desired. To do this, it suffices to accentuate the offset of the winding axis, both outwards and upwards. The slides 4, being narrow and low enough, do not constitute a major obstacle to the traffic, being able to be easily crossed. If we want to do even better, we can make them easily removable, for example by providing each of them with a foot 6 which is housed in a hole made in the lip. One can even place several holes side by side for the same slide, in order to give it several transverse positions. This avoids that it is always the same areas of the shutter that are subject to friction. Alternatively, the slides can be made simply retractable by pivoting. The whole can be harmoniously complemented by a plantation of shrub vegetation 5 which, if it is cleverly chosen and cut, partially masks the roller, thus reducing its negative aesthetic impact. Note that this solution would not be practicable with the conventional flaps, because this vegetation would then be an additional obstacle to approach the edge of the basin.

In Figure 4, we see the same component in rolled situation. Part of this component rests on the slides, which must be configured so as to avoid any contact with the lip, whose material is generally abrasive. This view shows a problem in case of strong wind blowing along the arrow V, and likely to lift this part of the shutter. It can be guarded by placing a continuous obstacle 7 made of any suitable material. We can also count on the vegetation hedge 5, if it was planned, to constitute a wind screen.

30 5  In Figure 5, we see a detail of a possible configuration of a roller 8, supported by the slide 4, and slightly above the upper edge of this slide. The area of the flap located at the right of such a roller is therefore subject to a rolling, and no longer a friction, which greatly facilitates the progression, and allows to give the slides a relatively small slope. We can go to a pure bearing if the rollers are close enough, but we can also be content with a mixed formula bearing / sliding. A good compromise may be to provide a single roller per slide, placing it on the spout 9 which is the most stressed point. (see Figure 4) The rollers may be provided with a coating of elastomeric material, to reduce the noise of the passage of the shutter blades during maneuvers. 30 5
