1 La présente invention concerne le domaine technique des tondeuses àThe present invention relates to the technical field of lawn mowers
In a preferred but not exclusive application, the invention relates more particularly to the field of electric hair clippers or beard. Such clippers generally comprise a body equipped with a cutting head which is composed of two comb knives animated by a relative movement of alternating oscillations provided by an electric motor. Most often, the power supply of the motor is provided by one or more rechargeable accumulators disposed in the body of the mower, a wired power supply can also be considered. In order to ensure a cutting height adjustment, the mower also includes a set of removable shoes that are adapted to the body under the cutting head to define a bearing surface on the epidermis of the user. The cutting height corresponding to the distance between this bearing surface and the cutting head is then determined by the dimensions of the shoe whose change allows to choose the cutting height. The disadvantage of such a mode of adjusting the cutting height lies in the discreet nature of this setting offering a number of cutting heights limited by the number of removable shoes available. In order to remedy this drawback, it has been envisaged to ensure the adjustment of the cutting height by means of a shoe integral with the body of the mower and moved in translation relative to the latter by means of a regulating mechanism. actuated for example by a wheel. Such a design of the mower provides a fine adjustment of the cutting height but has the disadvantage of being easily disrupted when significant pressure is exerted on the shoe, which then moves causing a risk of maladjustment in use. In addition, such a mower offers only one range of variation of the cutting height which is not always sufficient to cover all conditions of use. It has therefore appeared the need for a new type of hair trimmer or a beard that provides a solution to these disadvantages and in particular cancels all risks of maladjustment when a force is exerted on the shoe. In order to achieve this objective, the invention relates to an electric hair or beard trimmer comprising a mower body, a cutting head integral with the body and driven by an electric motor and a shoe integral with the body and defining a bearing surface on the epidermis. According to the invention, this electric mower is characterized in that the cutting head is movable in translation in the mower body relative to the bearing surface of the shoe and moved in translation by means of adjusting the distance between the cutting head and the bearing surface of the shoe, said cutting height. Such a design of the mower avoids inadvertent adjustment during use to the extent that any effort resulting from the application of the mower against the epidermis is transmitted to the cutting head. Indeed, all the efforts related to the contact of the shoe with the epidermis are taken up by the hoof which is fixed, with no possibility of movement, relative to the body of the mower during the use phase and which has only one position of installation or adaptation on the body of the mower. In addition, since there is no possibility of relative movement between the shoe and the body of the mower, the repositioning of the shoe, for example after cleaning the mower head, will always be done. in the same position, which avoids any loss of reference or adjustment of the cutting height. According to one characteristic of the invention, the mower's shoe is removable and the mower is associated with at least two interchangeable shoes making it possible to obtain different ranges of cutting heights. This advantageous feature of the invention makes it possible to obtain, with the same mower, a plurality of cutting height ranges that are suitable for different uses and in which it is possible to obtain, thanks to the displacement of the cutting head, a reliable adjustment of the height. cutting. It can for example be implemented a set of four shoes 2903929 3 interchangeable, a first having a cutting height range of between 3 and 15 mm, a second having a cutting height range of between 18 and 30 mm, a third providing a range of cutting height of between 33 and 45 mm and a last, said finishing, 5 to obtain a minimum cutting height of between 1 mm and 2 mm and preferably of the order of 1.5 mm and a maximum cutting height range up to 12 mm more than the minimum starting height. According to another characteristic of the invention aimed at facilitating the adjustment by the user of the desired cutting height, the electric mower according to the invention comprises means for indicating the value of the height of cut. The means for indicating the value of the cutting height may be made in any suitable manner and, for example, include a sensor associated with the cutting head or the moving means thereof and connected to a computing unit. controlling a digital or analog display of cutting height. In a preferred but non-exclusive embodiment, the display of the cutting height is analog without involving sensor or calculation unit. For this purpose, the means for indicating the cutting height comprise a window integral with the shoe or the body and a slider which is connected to the cutting head while being visible inside the window and which indicates the height. cutting by its position in the window. In the case of the implementation of several interchangeable shoes, each shoe will include a window indicating the cutting height.
In order to further facilitate the reading and according to a feature of the invention, the window of each shoe is associated with graduations and numerical indications indicating the range of cutting heights authorized by the shoe. Such numerical indications may for example correspond to the minimum height and the maximum height between which the adjustment is possible for the shoe used. This feature of the invention makes it possible, when using several interchangeable shoes, to simply and at low cost provide precise cutting height information for each of the available shoes. According to the invention, the displacement of the cutting head relative to the body of the mower can be achieved in any suitable way such as, for example, by a mechanical operating system operated by means of a slider or a wheel. However, in a preferred embodiment, the cutting height adjustment means are actuated by an electric motor. It is then possible to implement an actuating motor of the cutting height adjustment means separate from the driving motor of the cutting head. It may also be envisaged, for reasons of cost reduction, space and weight, to use the driving motor of the cutting head to ensure the actuation of the cutting height adjustment means and in this case. In this case, the driving motor of the cutting head is associated with selection means adapted to allow either driving of the cutting head or actuation of the cutting height adjustment means. As has been said previously, the mechanism implemented by means of moving the cutting head can be carried out in all appropriate ways. In a preferred embodiment for obtaining a fine and continuous adjustment of the cutting height in the range of value allowed by the amplitude of the displacement of the cutting head, as well as by the dimensions of the shoe, the adjustment means of the height comprise a screw mechanism which comprises, on the one hand, a worm 25 secured to the body and being rotated by actuating means and, on the other hand, a nut connected to the cutting head and adapted to transform a rotation of the screw into a continuous movement of the head. According to another characteristic of the invention and in order to avoid an inadvertent displacement of the cutting head during use, the mower is adapted to ensure a neutralization or blocking of the cutting height adjustment means. during operation of the cutting head. According to yet another characteristic of the invention aimed at facilitating the achievement of a gradient by means of the mower according to the invention, this latter comprises means of slaving the translation of the cutting head to the displacement of the surface of the support on the epidermis which are adapted to allow the realization of a degraded cut automatically. The implementation of the servo means then makes it possible to obtain a proportionality between the displacement of the bearing surface on the epidermis and the displacement of the cutting head. The servo-control means may be made in any suitable manner and, for example, comprise a wheel adapted to the shoe to come into contact with the epidermis and, by its rotation, to allow a determination of the distance traveled on the epidermis. this distance being then converted, either by purely mechanical means, or by electronic or electromechanical means into a displacement of the cutting head. Of course, it could be envisaged to use optical measuring means to determine the distance traveled by the hoof on the epidermis. Of course, the various features of the invention mentioned above can be implemented with each other in different combinations when they are not incompatible or exclusive of each other. Moreover, various other features of the invention will become apparent from the description given below with reference to the accompanying drawings which show, by way of non-limiting examples, embodiments of the subject of the invention. Fig. 1 is an exploded perspective showing the various constituent elements of a hair trimmer or beard according to the invention. Fig. 2 is a perspective partially cut away from the mower, shown in FIG. 1, with the cutting head in the up position.

La fig. 4 est une coupe schématique d'une autre forme de réalisation d'une tondeuse à cheveux ou barbe selon l'invention.2903929 6 Fig. 3 is a perspective similar to FIG. 2 of the mower with the cutting head in the down position. Fig. 4 is a schematic sectional view of another embodiment of a hair trimmer or beard according to the invention.
A hair trimmer or beard, as shown in fig. 1 and generally designated by the reference 1, comprises a body 2 10 defining a gripping zone 3 and being equipped in the lower part of a cutting head 4. The mower 1 also comprises at least one and, according to the example illustrated, two removable shoes 5 and 6 each intended to be adapted alternately on the lower end of the body 2 as shown in FIG. 2. The body 2 of the mower has tenons 21 engaging in O openings provided at the end of a flexible tongue L of each shoe 5.6. Each shoe 5, 6 defines by its lower part a surface 7 of support or contact of the mower with the epidermis of the user or the person whose hair or beard is cut by means of the mower 1 according to the 'invention. It will be noted that the bearing surface 7 of the shoes 5 and 6 is curved rearwardly so as to facilitate the rocker movements of the mower so as to make degraded cuts. In order to allow adjustment of the cutting height H defined by the distance between the bearing surface 7 and the cutting head 4, and in accordance with an essential characteristic of the invention, the cutting head 4 is adapted to the body 2 so as to be movable in translation relative to the body 2 and to the bearing surface 7 of the shoe 5 or 6 fitted on the latter. For this purpose and according to the illustrated example, the cutting head 4 is rigidly connected to a block or cutting carriage 10 which slides inside the body 2 while being guided by slides, not visible in the figure, each consisting of a rectilinear groove arranged in the cutting carriage 10 and engaged on a tongue rigidly connected to the body 2. According to the illustrated example, the cutting carriage 10 also carries the electric motor 11 for driving. The embodiment of a cutting head and its drive by an electric motor will not be described here since it is widely known to those skilled in the art and is not part of the art. as such of the subject of the present invention. In order to ensure the translation of the cutting block 10 relative to the body 2, the mower 1 comprises means 12 for adjusting the cutting height H which ensures the displacement of the cutting block 10. According to the illustrated example, the means Cutting height adjustment device 12 comprises a screw system whose screw 13 is secured to the body 2 by being rotated by an electric motor 14 for actuating adjustment means 12. The electric motor 14 and its gearbox (not shown in the drawings) are securely attached to the body 2 by means of fixing screws. The screw 13 then cooperates with a nut 15 which is rigidly connected to the cutting block 10. The electric drive motors 11 of the cutting head 4 and actuating means 14 for adjusting the cutting height are powered by electric accumulators A disposed in the body 2 of the mower 1. The operation of the drive motor 11 is then controlled by an on / off switch 17 accessible on the top of the body 2. The operation of the motor actuation 14 is, in turn, controlled by an inverting switch 18 can be moved either upwards or downwards depending on the direction of movement of the desired cutting head 4 as will appear later, the neutral or median position 25 of the reversing switch 18 corresponding to a stop of the actuating motor 14. The mower 1 thus formed operates in the following manner. When a cutting height adjustment is desired, the user actuates the inverter switch 18, for example, downwards to obtain a reduction in the cutting height H. The cutting head 4 moves from a high position as shown in fig. 2, corresponding to the maximum cutting height 2903929 8, to a low position illustrated in FIG. 3 when the user releases the pressure exerted on the switch 18, the motor 14 stops, immobilizing the cutting head at the position it has reached. . It should be noted that the use of a worm 13 to move the cutting block 10 carrying the cutting head 4, provides a continuous and fine adjustment of the cutting height H. Once the desired cutting height reached, the user can control, by means of the switch 17, the operation of the cutting head 4. It will be noticed that, given the configuration of the shoe 5 and the position of the cutting head 4, no effort is exerted on the latter during the use phase, so that the adjustment of the cutting height can not be altered. Indeed, the cutting head can not be reached, the comb being rigid enough to withstand the forces, since having no deflection relative to the body 2, it is always in fixed abutment on the body 2. In this respect and in order to prevent any inadvertent translation movement of the cutting head 4 during its operation, the mower according to the invention is designed so that the inverter switch 18 is neutralized when the switch 17 is in the on position. Conversely, it will not be possible to operate the switch 17 when the actuating motor 14 is in operation. It therefore appears that the mower 1 makes it possible in a simple manner to obtain a reliable adjustment of the cutting height H which will be a function of the minimum height of cut allowed by the shoe and the amplitude of the displacement of the cutting head 4. between its low position and its high position. Thus, in the case of a first shoe 5 allowing a minimum cutting height of 5 mm and a cutting head 4 having a displacement amplitude of 15 mm, it will be possible to adjust the cutting height in a fine and continuous manner. over a range of values ranging from 5 mm to 20 mm. The second shoe 6 may furthermore be designed to allow a minimum cutting height of 1.5 mm thus allowing a setting range of 1.5 mm to 16.5 mm. To facilitate this adjustment, the mower 1 according to the invention is preferably equipped with means 20 for indicating the cutting height. According to the illustrated example, the indication means 20 comprise a window 21 integral with the shoe 5 or 6 and a slider 22 connected to the cutting head 4 and here etched in front of the cutting block 10. Thus, when the shoe 5 carrying the window 21 is placed on the mower 1, the slider 22 is visible and its position materializes the cutting height. The window 21 can then be associated with graduations and numerical indications 23 indicating the range of cutting height value possible with the shoe 5. Insofar as the window 21 and the numerical indications 23 are carried by each shoe 5 or 6, it is not necessary to implement a complex hoof recognition system to update the information provided by the indication means 20. According to the embodiment described above in connection with FIGS. 1 to 3, the drive electric motors 11 and actuation 14 are distinct. However, such an embodiment is not necessary and FIG. 4 shows an embodiment in which the same electric motor 25 provides either the driving of the cutting head 4, or the actuation of the displacement means 12. For this purpose, the electric motor 25 is movable in translation in the body 2 being carried by selection and displacement means 26. The electric motor 25 carries at the ends of its drive shaft 27, mechanical coupling systems 28 and 29 for alternately driving the means 12 for adjusting the height of the cutting means or the cutting head 4 according to the position of the selection means 26. The operation of the electric motor 25 is moreover controlled by a switch 30 disposed on the body 2 of the mower 1.
Fig. 5 illustrates yet another variant of the mower described in relation to FIGS. 1 to 3. According to this variant, the mower comprises means 40 for servocontrolling the translation of the cutting head 4 to the displacement of the bearing surface 7 on the epidermis. The servo means 40 then comprise a calculation and control unit 41 connected to a wheel 42 intended to come into contact with the epidermis, so that its rotation makes it possible to indicate the distance traveled on the epidermis. The calculation and control unit 41 then converts this distance into a proportional displacement of the cutting head 4 and controls the actuating motor 14 to move the cutting head 4 and thus perform a degraded cut automatically. The modification of the height of cut is then performed without action on the switch 18, while the switch 17 is in the on position. Of course, various other modifications can be made to the hair trimmer or beard 1 without departing from the scope of the present invention.
