Abstract

The yoke has a lower T-shaped part (1) allowing a concentric locking of yoke shafts (10) when the shafts are locked by threaded rings (3). Clamps (2) have a spherical outer shape for permitting to immobilize the shafts with specific degrees of latitude with respect to an axis perpendicular to the part (1). An assembly of the part (1) and the yoke shafts is made by a ball pivot connection by using the clamps. A upper T-shaped part (5) is adjusted to a lower connector (6). The shafts rotate around a center of the ball pivot before immobilization of the assembly by an upper connector (7).

Description

-1- La présente invention concerne un système permettant de modifierThe present invention relates to a system for modifying

facilement la géométrie avant d'une motocyclette afin d'adapter son comportement dynamique à l'usage que lui destine précisément son utilisateur en utilisant un principe différent des réalisations connues à ce jour ex : brevet deposé par Mr LAGARRE REF (WO2004009431).  easily the front geometry of a motorcycle in order to adapt its dynamic behavior to the use that specifically intends its user using a different principle of achievements known to date ex patent filed by Mr LAGARRE REF (WO2004009431).

Generally on a motorcycle the front axle is composed of a so-called telescopic fork, the latter simultaneously providing the steering function and the suspension function. The behavior of the motorcycle is dependent on the geometry of the front axle, the latter being frozen by construction according to the choices of its designer in accordance with the intended use of the machine. The geometry of the nosewheel is defined on the one hand by the angle between the axis of the steering column and a fictitious axis perpendicular to the ground, this angle is called the hunting angle, and on the other hand by the distance between the intersection point of the axis of the steering column on the ground and a perpendicular to the ground passing through the axis of rotation of the front wheel. This distance is called ground hunting.

The present invention proposes, by means of special tees, to easily and rapidly vary the flushing values (-c- Fig. 3 - Fig. 4) .From its method of fixing the fork sleeves (10) in the lower tee the present invention substantially improves the suspension function using a concentric clamping sleeves causing little deformation of the latter.

The present invention consists of a lower tee (1) receiving two spherical claws (2) ensuring a concentric clamping of the fork sleeves (10) when they are tightened by the two spherical bearing threaded rings (3). their spherical outer forms, these two clamps (2) can immobilize the fork legs with a few degrees of latitude relative to an axis perpendicular to the top of the tee. A steering column shaft (4) secured to the lower handle allows to install the latter conventionally on the frame of the motorcycle. The upper tee is composed of three pieces assembled, a lower clevis (6) which is traversed in a way adjusted at its center by the axis of the steering column and whose sides are precisely guided in a groove made under the upper tee (5). ) along the longitudinal axis of the motorcycle. An oblong groove machined in the upper tee along the same longitudinal axis allows the steering axis to cross the latter. The fork legs (10) are assembled to it with the usual fasteners used. The upper clevis (7) traversed at its center in a manner adjusted by the steering column axis allows thanks to the nut / washer assembly (8) to block the whole. The contact faces between the yokes and the upper tee are cylindrical parts whose axis is a fictitious axis passing through the center of the two spherical clamps of the lower tee. These specific shapes and the fact that the steering column axis passes through the upper tee in a groove, allow angular movement of the assembly consisting of the upper tee and the fork sleeves (10) around the axis of the spherical clamps. , which affects the value of ground hunting.

To avoid any risk of slipping, the contact face between the upper tee and the upper yoke is notched perpendicularly to the central axis.
