Description

Sur la figure 1, on a représenté un pare-boue 1 de véhicule automobile, conforme à un premier mode de réalisation de l'invention.  concave wall intended to be fixed to the vehicle body and to partially surround a wheel of the vehicle. It has been noted that the mud flaps were the site of vibration phenomena causing the passage of noises from the outside of the vehicle towards the passenger compartment, and that the known soundproofing devices lost their effectiveness according to the relative positions of the body and the ground connections. The invention aims to improve the acoustic insulation of the passenger vis-à-vis the outside, at the wheels of the vehicle, regardless of the debate-10 terrent suspension supported by the vehicle. To this end, the subject of the invention is a mudguard of the type set out above, further comprising a soundproofing wall, connected to said concave wall via a deformable link, and adapted to be attached to a part of the ground connection associated with the wheel. According to other features of the invention, taken alone or in any conceivable combination: the deformable connection comprises an accordion-folded flap; the shutter is adapted to form a soundproofing screen around the wheel axle; The fender is made in one piece; and - the mudguard is made of plastic, in particular by injection molding or by blowing. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising at least one mudguard of the type described above. Particular embodiments of the invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: - Figure 1 is a schematic perspective view of a motor vehicle fender, according to a first embodiment embodiment of the invention; FIG. 2 is a diagrammatic view in axial section, in the vertical plane 2-2 indicated in FIG. 1, of a motor vehicle wheel, of an associated ground connection, and of the mudguard of FIG. 1 mounted on the vehicle body; 2 - Figure 3 is a view similar to Figure 1, illustrating a second embodiment of the invention. In Figure 1, there is shown a mudguard 1 of a motor vehicle, according to a first embodiment of the invention.

This mudguard 1 essentially comprises a concave wall 3, a plate 5 for attachment to the bodywork, a soundproofing wall 7, and a connecting flap 9 between the concave wall 3 and the sound-insulating wall 7. concave wall 3 has a generally curved shape intended to partially surround a wheel of the vehicle, when the mudguard is attached to the bodywork. In all that follows, the terms "internal" and "external" will be understood in relation to the general curvature of the part, the internal faces of a part being those facing the wheel. In addition, the orientation terms such as "longitudinal" or "lateral" will be understood in relation to the general orientation of the vehicle, on which the mudguard 1 is supposed to be mounted. On the other hand, the longitudinal axis of the vehicle is assumed horizontal. The concave wall 3 comprises an upper band 11 having a section, in a longitudinal central and vertical plane P, substantially in the form of C. The concave wall 3 also comprises, closing a side face of the C, a closing wall 13 also concave . The fixing plate 5 is integral with the upper band 11, and extends from one end of C. The insulating wall 7 is essentially flat and extends parallel to the longitudinal plane P. It is connected by its upper edge at the lower edge of the closing wall 13, through the flap 9. The insulating wall 7 is furthermore formed with a fixing slot 15 to a ground connection piece associated with the wheel. The shutter 9 is folded in accordion, according to parallel folds oriented longitudinally, parallel to the lower edge of the closure wall 13 and the upper edge of the insulating wall 7. Preferably, the mudguard 1 is made of a piece, for example plastic injected or blown.

The concave wall 3 and the fixing plate 5 are provided with a plurality of holes 17, or more generally fasteners, for fixing the mudguard 1 to the body (or bodywork) of the vehicle. In Figure 2, there is shown the mudguard 1 of Figure 1 mounted on the body 20 of a vehicle. In this figure, it is illustrated that the concave wall 3 is fixed rigidly, via the fixing holes 17, to the body 20 so as to partially surround the associated wheel 21. The wheel 21 is connected to the body by means of a ground connection shown schematically under the reference 23, capable of movement and movement relative to the body 20. The general reference numeral 23 also designates in particular one of the parts of the ground connection, such as as the suspension triangle. In the example shown, the suspension triangle is engaged through the light 15, so that the insulating wall 7 is fixed to this suspension triangle 23. Thus, during displacements or deflections of suspension of the wheel 21 and the ground connection 23 relative to the body 20, the insulating wall 7 moves in solidarity by soliciting the flap 9 in corresponding deformation (stretching or contraction). The insulating wall 7 and the flap 9 constitute sound insulation screens which limit the propagation along the wheel axles of the vibratory sound phenomena originating in the vicinity of the wheel. The insulating wall 7 and the flap 9 thus contribute, by accompanying displacements in displacement of the wheel and the connection to the ground, to limit the propagation of certain noises towards the interior of the passenger compartment. In Figure 3, there is shown a mudguard 101 according to a second embodiment of the invention. This mudguard 101 is similar in its constitution to the mudguard 1 described above, the concave wall 3 and the fixing plate 5 being similar or identical to the previous ones. The mudguard 101 differs from the mudguard 1 described above only in that the insulating wall 107 and the flap 9 extend along the lower edge of the closing wall 13 over a greater length, and continuously on the lower end edge of the strip 11, on the opposite side to the fixing plate 5. Thus, the wall 107 and the flap 109 are bent with a portion extending substantially along a longitudinal plane, and a portion extending substantially in a transverse plane. The mounting of the mudguard 101 on the vehicle body and its operation are in all respects similar to that described for the previous embodiment, and will not be described again.
