1 La présente invention concerne le domaine des outils de podologie etThe present invention relates to the field of podiatry tools and
The podology gouges currently used are either in one piece with a handle and a blade forming a one-piece piece, or in two parts with a blade that is separable from the handle. The manufacture of one-piece chiropody gouges requires machining in a stainless steel block, then stamping the blade to the desired rounded (gutter-shaped) shape and shaping of the handle. so that it is flattened in the transverse direction and can be held firmly by hand. After stamping the blade, the edge of the cutting edge must be formed by grinding. European Patent Document No. EP0052050 discloses a chiropody gouge in two parts and more particularly a gouge blade 15 specially adapted for removable mounting on a handle. More particularly, the handle carries towards the end intended to cooperate with the blade, a projection which delimits two substantially longitudinal grooves and the blade has an opening (made by bar turning) whose edges delimit longitudinal tongues intended to be slid into the grooves. gorges of the 20 th. The blade can be formed in a stainless steel strip by cutting, then bending the blade and forming the cutting edge to the grinding wheel. Both the one-piece gouges and the two-part gouges for podiatry may be designed to be used as disposable products after first use or reusable after sharpening of the cutting edge. These gouges are available in different calibres generally with blades from 1 to 15mm wide. FIG. 1 schematically illustrates in perspective a chiropody gouge with a handle 10 and a gouge blade 12 in the form of a gutter. All gouge blades currently have a cutting edge 14 shown in Fig. 1 which is sharpened like a bevel, ie the cutting edge 16 (ground portion of the blade) of the cutting edge is ground on the concave face 18 (inside of the gutter) of the blade while the flat of the cutting edge extends on the convex face 20 (outside of the gutter) of the blade. The object of the invention is to make such a podiatry tool even more ergonomic for the practitioner (better control of the gesture with the tool) and more comfortable for the patient (reduction of cutaneous sensation of tearing). To this end, the subject of the invention is a gouge blade for chiropody tool comprising a concave face, a convex face and a cutting edge, characterized in that the cutting edge is sharpened like a chisel with a flat which is extends over the concave face of the blade and a sharp edge that extends over the convex face of the blade. For gouge blades having a cutting edge gauge 1 to 15 mm wide, the cutting edge will preferably have a length of 8 to 10 mm. Other features and advantages of the invention will become more apparent from the description which follows, made with reference to the drawings. Figure 1 shows in perspective a known podiatry tool with a removable gouge blade.
Figure 2 shows in perspective a gouge blade according to the invention. In Figure 1, the podiatry tool shown comprises a handle 10 and a removable blade 12 which is partially inserted into the handle. The handle 10 comprises a body 20 of flattened shape, intended to be grasped by the user. The handle can be any suitable material, and it is advantageously a molded part. It suffices that the mechanical strength of the handle is sufficient for the support of the blades. The handle may therefore be formed of a metal of sufficient mechanical strength or even of plastic material, possibly containing an insert element forming the attachment point of the blade.
As shown in Figure 1, the blade 12 has a recess 22 (formed by bar turning) which serves to block the blade 12 in the handle 10 when the blade is fully inserted therein. When the blade 12 is to be removed from the handle 10, the user who holds the handle with one hand lifts for example an unlocking member 24 by applying with a finger, for example the thumb, a force indicated by the reference 26 on Figure 1 and the other hand, the user pulls the blade 12 outwardly. The user can then put another blade of another size for example. As indicated above, the blade 12 in FIG. 1 has one end with a cutting edge 14 sharpened like a bevel, ie the cutting edge edge 16 extends over the concave face 18 of the blade while the flat of the cutting edge extends on the convex face 20 of the blade.
The blade 12 is generally made from a stainless steel strip. The strip is cut to the desired shape, essentially so that it delimits the opening 22, the rear edge and the cutting edge 14. Then, the blanks are arched and there remains only one grinding operation, forming the cutting edge, so that the blade is finished. Unlike the gouge blade 12, a gouge blade 12 'according to the invention for a chiropody tool has a cutting edge 14' sharpened like a chisel visible in Figure 2. The cutting edge 16 'of the cutting edge s' thus extends along the convex face 20 '(outside of the gutter) of the blade while the flat cutting edge extends along the concave face 22' of the blade (inside the gutter). According to the invention, the sharpening of the cutting edge 14 'is made so as to have a very sharp edge whose length (in the longitudinal direction D of the blade) is of the order of 8 mm for small blades (from 1 to 5mm wide) and of the order of 10mm for large blades (8 to 15mm wide). Of course, the gouge blade according to the invention with a cutting edge in the form of a chisel can be removably mounted on a handle such as the handle 10 or be an integral part of a chiropody gouge in a one-piece piece of medical steel used as either a disposable podiatry tool after first use or reusable with the possibility of repeated sharpening of the cutting edge of the blade.
