Abstract

The ladder has posts and bars (7) displaced between folded and deployed positions. The posts are brought closer to each other and half-bars (7.1, 7.2) of each bar are folded on each other with their median articulations directed towards the top, and are housed in channels (5) with respect to the posts, in the folded position. The posts are spaced from each other, the half bars are disposed in an extension from each other and the median articulations are blocked toward the bottom by mutual support of contact plates (10, 11) of bars` faces with respect to the half bars, in the deployed position.

Description

La présente invention concerne une échelle pliable, apte à ne présenterThe present invention relates to a foldable ladder, able to present

qu'un faible encombrement lorsqu'elle n'est pas utilisée.  that a small footprint when not in use.

Although not exclusively, the scale of the present invention is particularly suitable for use in vehicles, especially civil aircraft, in which the free space is limited and must therefore be arranged at best.

To this end, according to the invention, the ladder comprising two parallel uprights between which transverse bars are arranged, is remarkable in that: each of said uprights has a longitudinal channel and said uprights are arranged so that their channels are arranged in look at each other; the ends of each bar penetrate respectively into said opposite channels and are articulated in these around axes orthogonal to said uprights; each bar is composed of two half-bars whose facing faces are connected to one another by a median articulation axis parallel to said axes of articulation of the ends of said bars; and said uprights and said bars can take together two extreme positions, namely: a folded position for which said uprights are brought closer to each other and the two half-bars of each bar, on the one hand, are folded one on the other with their median articulation directed upwards and, on the other hand, are respectively housed in said channels opposite said close amounts; and E an extended position for which said amounts are spaced from each other and the two half-bars of each bar are arranged in extension of one another, the median joints of said bars being blocked down by mutual support of said faces opposite said half-bars.

Thus, in said folded position, the transverse size of the ladder according to the present invention is particularly reduced.

Advantageously, particularly to allow the realization of said bars in a hollow profile (for example aluminum U-section rectangle), each of said faces facing said half-bars carries a contact plate. Preferably, said contact soles are part of said median joints.

It is also advantageous if said uprights are made of at least approximately U-section profiles, preferably rectangle.

To reduce the longitudinal size of the scale according to the invention in the folded position, it is advantageous that said uprights are each composed of at least two parts connected to each other by a hinge axis orthogonal to said axes. articulation of the bars, the axes of the joints of said amounts being two to two aligned.

In an advantageous embodiment, said uprights are each composed of two half-uprights connected to each other by a hinge axis orthogonal to said hinge axes of the bars, the axes of the two joints of said uprights being aligned.

The figures of the appended drawing will make it clear how the invention can be realized. In these figures, identical references designate similar elements.

FIGS. 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D and 1E are perspective views of an exemplary embodiment of the scale according to the present invention, FIGS. 1A and 1E representing said scale respectively in the deployed position and in FIG. folded position, Figures 1B, 1C and 1D showing intermediate positions between said deployed and folded positions.

Figure 2 is a sectional view along the line II-II of Figure 1, showing a bar from below in the deployed position.

FIG. 3 illustrates, on a larger scale, the articulation of a ladder bar in the partially folded position, as in FIG. 1B. The scale 1, shown by way of example of embodiment of the present invention on FIGS. 1A to 1E, comprise two identical uprights 2 and 3, each formed by a section 4 having an open rectangular U section, for example made of aluminum, having a longitudinal channel 5. The two uprights 2 and 3 are arranged so that their longitudinal channels 5 are arranged facing one another.

Between the uprights 2 and 3 are arranged transverse bars 7, also each formed by a rectangular U-section section, open downwards. The two ends 7E of each bar 7 penetrate respectively into the channels 5 opposite the uprights 2 and 3 and are hinged thereto by pins 8, 9 orthogonal to said uprights 2, 3.

In addition, each bar 7 is composed of two half-bars 7.1 and 7.2 whose facing faces bear a contact sole 10 or 11 and are articulated to each other by a median joint 12. Preferably, said insoles contact 10 and 11 form an integral part of said median hinges 12. The axis 13 of each median hinge 12 is parallel to the hinge pins 8, 9 of the ends 7E of the bars 7 and is eccentric downwards.

From the foregoing, it will be readily understood (see also FIGS. 1B, 1C and 3) that the scale 1 can take one or the other of two extreme positions: the extended position illustrated by FIG. 1A, for which the uprights 2 and 3 are spaced from each other and the two half-bars 7.1, 7.2 of each bar 7 are arranged in extension of one another, the median joints 12 of said bars 7 being blocked towards the low by mutual support of the contact flanges 10 and 11; the folded position illustrated in Figure 1 C, wherein said amounts 2 and 3 are brought closer to each other and the two demibarreaux 7.1, 7.2 of each bar 7, on the one hand, are folded one on the other with their median articulation 12 directed upwards and, on the other hand 1 o part, are respectively housed in the channels 5 facing the uprights 2 and 3, so close together.

Moreover, the amounts 2 and 3 are each composed of two demimontants (respectively 2I, 2S and 3I, 3S) connected to one another by a hinge 14 or 15, said hinges being orthogonal to the hinge pins 8, 9 and 13 and aligned with each other.

Thus, as illustrated by Figures 1D and 1E, the uprights 2 and 3 can be folded over one another, around the joints 14 and 15, the half-posts 2S and 3S respectively coming into contact with the demimontants 2I and 3I.
