En variante de réalisation, on pouvait prévoir une nervure sur chacun des côtés avant et arrière. Ou bien encore, on pourrait ne prévoir aucune nervure, les dimensions du trou carré traversant 52 étant alors ajustées à celle de la section carrée du corps 72 afin de limiter le jeu. En tout état de cause, le jeu 82 entre le corps 72 du répétiteur, comportant ou non une ou plusieurs nervures 80 et les côtés 54 et 56 du trou 52 doit être inférieur à l'engagement 86 du pied 20 de chaque élément de fixation 16 sous la surface de la tôle de la portière formant le support 12.
