Abstract

The collector consists of a floating chamber (1) that can slide up and down on vertical guides (3) with changes in the water level. It has a front opening flap (2) and a base with hinged mesh doors, made with dimensions and from materials to suit its environment and situation. The opening flap is made from separate panels with floats opposite their hinges, and the door mesh is designed to retain floating objects when the chamber is out of the water. The top of the chamber has lifting points for raising it out of the water for emptying.

Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 1> <Desc / Clms Page number 1>

The present invention relates to an autonomous system capable of collecting and preserving, within its enclosure, any body floating on the surface of a body of water, such as a pond, a lake or a port, and this by adapting differences in the water level of these.

Floating objects, such as plastic waste, wood, algae, ..., tend to amalgamate and form sheets which move with the sandstone of the winds and currents, to come to invade the re-entering angles of fixed infrastructures, such than docks, or floating such as pontoons.

The system is therefore set up in these areas where the current pushes the waste, allowing it to be recovered inside, preventing its exit by a valve system described below.

The system consists of a floating part, sliding on fixed vertical guides.

The floating part is a dihedral with a triangular base (1) whose shapes (values of angles) and dimensions (lengths of the sides), adapt to the place of its installation.

Buoyancy volumes (5) line the interior of the system to provide it with a permanent draft and a buoyancy reserve (6) overcomes unforeseen overloads.

Le dessus est une surface pleine.  The top is a solid surface.

The two sides facing the guides are solid surfaces.

The third side has a large opening cut by the surface of the water, and a barrier

Two strips of flexible synthetic material (10) finish connecting the profile of the system to the vertical walls of the infrastructure in order to avoid the natural storage of floating waste behind the system.

The system is installed on vertical guides (3) fixed on the infrastructures, ensuring its maintenance in position and its vertical displacement (variation of water level) thanks to the rolling devices (4) on these vertical guides.

The rolling devices can, at any time, be separated from the system, and this from the infrastructure, to handle it by rings (9) provided for this purpose, in order to empty it.

The bottom of the system is made up of two articulated panels (7) made of perforated sheet metal or fine mesh netting, in order to evacuate the water when leaving the system and to keep objects before emptying.

The opening and closing of the bottom panels is carried out by bolts (8).

The materials chosen will be adapted to the environment of the installation, and above all resistant to corrosion in a natural way (stainless steel, aluminum alloy, synthetic material, recycled or not), or treated accordingly.
