Abstract

The filter (5) has an air intake on one side and an air outlet on the other side. The outlet is connected to a connection pipe (61), which in turn is connected to the carburetor. The filter contains a purifier (55), and a sound absorber (56) between purifier and air intake. This defines a reflection chamber (57) between intake and purifier, to reflect and absorb sound waves generated by the purifier. The sound absorber pref. screens more than half the surface of the air intake.
